    SHE Officer - Pinetown KZN

    Requirements

    • Support with professional SHE advice to the branch units
    • Continuously engage with the teams in order to secure and strengthen their commitment to SHE and
    • sustainability matters
    • Help to implement and maintain an effective SHE performance review and improvement planning
    • process at branch level
    • Promote, display, encourage and reinforce positive behaviours, in line with the Rentokil Initial values
    • and safety leadership behaviours
    • Recognise and promote the commercial benefits of effective SHE management and provide support to
    • enable the business to differentiate the business’s services and meet market / customer SHE demands
    • and expectations
    • Maintain an effective working knowledge of SHE legislation, company requirements, guidance and best
    • practice
    • Maintain an effective knowledge of the Divisional activities
    • Schedule and execute audits on site to identify areas of improvement and implement measures as
    • required
    • Keep H&S en sustainability records and registers up to date, including renewal of permits, licenses etc.
    • Assist with accident investigations, including recommendations and putting measures in place to
    • prevent recurrences
    • Implement emergency and crisis management plans on site
    • Implement Environmental Management Plans on site
    • Other duties as assigned by the SHE Manager
    • Help to implement an effective process for the management of contractors
    • Assess SHE requirements for tender submissions / contracts and supply appropriate SHE information
    • Support the delivery of SHE learning programmes and raise the awareness on sustainability matters
    • Help to establish and manage Regional SHE Committees
    • Assist with the planning, preparing, conducting and reporting internal / external audits and inspections
    • Assist in the management of the accident reporting and investigation procedures
    • Help to analyse the results of audits / inspections and accident, incident and work-related ill-health
    • statistics periodically to identify any common trends and underlying weaknesses in the SHE
    • management systems
    • Identify and spread SHE best practice across the business units range of business activities
    • Assist the SHE Manager with Registrar, routine and pre placement medicals in line with the 
    • Occupational Health programme
    • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of tasks
    • Time management - to meet clients deadlines.
    • High level of honesty and accountability
    • The Ability to manage people/team
    • Project Management skills.
    • Organisational skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum Matric Certificate/ Tertiary Qualification
    • Ability to complete SHE related Qualifications
    • Operational experience within RISA or a similar environment will be advantages - consideration will be give to exceptional candidates in related fields, demonstrating the ability to manage the enforcement of standards and procedures
    • Knowledge and experience of ISO standards is desirable
    • Full drivers license and being prepared to travel extensively
    • Proven ability to present and train
    • Knowledge and experience with Fumigation Operations and standards would be desirable
    • Computer Literate
    • Competencies in line with WL2 requirement

    Senior Email Marketing Executive (Data) - Rentokil Initial

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Creating and developing targeting workflows for email marketing campaigns.
    • Assisting in data requests for multichannel campaigns as required.
    • Issuing email marketing campaigns, working to schedules as set out in the marketing calendar across all businesses.
    • Reporting and providing up-to-date performance indicators of email marketing campaigns.
    • Testing and revising targeting campaigns based on performance indicators.
    • Providing analysis and understanding on key campaign performance metrics.
    • Maintaining customer databases and subscription preferences.
    • Creating segments to target audiences within our email marketing tool.
    • Understanding of how to make best use of available data.

    SKILLS and COMPETENCIES

    • A background in data segmentation preferably with an interest in Marketing. Ideally, educated to degree level or suitable work experience
    • A good understanding of best practices in email marketing
    • An understanding of automation technology
    • Intermediate skills in Google / MS Office Suite or equivalent, with a good level of competency using spreadsheets for calculations of large datasets
    • Basic HTML, CSS and JavaScript knowledge, or willingness to learn
    • A genuine passion for digital marketing, technology and user experience
    • Ability to think outside the box and bring new and innovative ideas to the table 
    • A “Learner's Mindset” - willing to experiment with technology to create solutions
    • Knowledge of GDPR best practices
    • Understanding of how to manipulate large data
    • The ability to work successfully in a team, supporting remote colleagues with campaigns
    • Excellent data and visualisation skills
    • Comfortable working with data and multiple data sets.
    • Good analytical skills
    • The ability to work with own initiative and to work to deadlines
    • Confidence pitching ideas or giving feedback to senior colleagues and peers based on your knowledge and expertise and work in a collaborative manner
    • Ability to think outside the box and bring new and innovative ideas to the table 
    • Ambition for career progression within a Marketing role 

    QUALIFICATIONS and  EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field/ equivalent qualification
    • You must have attention to detail with an interest in current internet trends and technologies.
    • Equally important is your highly organised approach and strong presentation skills.
    • You will be a superb team player whilst retaining the ability to work independently.
    • Results-driven, your flexibility and communication skills will be second to none.
