    Project Cost Accountant / Controller - KZN

    Description

    Project Cost Accountant / Controller 

    • Co-ordinates the day-to-day requirements of the costs for capital projects, through the collection of data.
    • Checks proposed commitments against budget.
    • Responsible for coordinating and managing the cost accounting function, including the development, installation and monitoring of cost control systems and the interpretation and dissemination of cost accounting information to management. 
    • Issues data regarding cost
    • Cost estimates, budgets, and expenditure
    • Commitments, cash flow forecasts, final cost forecasts, cost studies and analyses
    • Variation orders and cost variances.
    • Informs personnel of budgeted and final estimated costs.
    • Recommends corrective action when forecasts and budgets are going to be exceeded.

    Minimum Requirements

    • BCom Financial Management/BCom Accountant  
    • SAIPA / CIMA / SAICA Articles 
    • 3-5 years proven finance/accounting experience.
    • Proficient in Microsoft, MS Excel Advance.
    • Knowledge of industrial ERP systems such as SAP, Sage or Syspro.
    • Must be hands on / practical / attention to detail!!

    Minimum Requirements

    • Senior Certificate required. Tertiary Qualification advantageous. (Degree/ National Diploma in Sales or equivalent
    • 5+ Years experience in sales role in Telecommunications Industry is preferred
    • Knowledge and experience in sales and marketing
    • Domain knowledge and experience in Sales
    • MS Office and/or Google Suite

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Analysing and reporting on management accounts on a monthly basis to management
    • Monitor and manage cash flow within the budget
    • Cost management and inventory control
    • Compile audit file
    • Management of debtors and creditors to ensure optimal cash flow
    • Compile trial balance on a monthly basis
    • Review and approve journals and EFT’s on a daily basis
