    Area Sales Manager

    Purpose of the Job

    Responsible for achieving area sales targets – planning, implementing, and directing the field sales team (Field agents and Sales Coordinators) activities in a designated area to achieve sales targets and meet the business objectives. To increase Two Mountains’ market penetration within the assigned area and region.

    Key Outputs

    Sale Execution

    • Ensure that area sales targets are met through the Sales Team (Physical Agents and Sales Coordinators) within assigned catchment area.
    • Responsible for the distribution strategy within assigned area.
    • Recruit, train, and onboard Sales Coordinators to ensure sales headcount target is met.
    • Identify new or potential business opportunities for Two Mountains business units i.e. Two Mountains Burial Services and Two Mountains Financial Services.
    • Support Operations team with launching of new satellite and Branch offices.
    • Keep abreast of new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.
    • Conduct product presentations to potential clients (Group schemes, Corporates, and individuals) on Two Mountains products.
    • Develop scalable sales plan and ensure Field Sales team adhere to it correctly.
    • Ensures compliance to processes and procedures to minimize business risk.

    Marketing And Branding

    • Ensure marketing material is available, well-kept, and correctly accounted for.
    • Conduct brand awareness training for the field teams.
    • Scan the market for new and old competitor activity.
    • Liaise with Marketing to plan activations and campaign management.
    • Identify opportunities for network distribution channel in the catchment area.
    • Support Burial team through brand activations for funeral services.
    • Monitoring the funeral services rendered; by visiting the cemetery where the services are conducted to ensure that the marketing materials are utilized effectively.

    Stakeholder Management

    • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., local communities, councillors, chieftaincy and other leaders in the community and Customer Experience) by meeting with them on a regular basis.
    • Identify needs in the communities and submit proposal for CSI project identification.
    • Work together with Burial Services Branch Manager to prepare weekly funeral scheme.
    • Monitoring cemetery for potential clients and distribution of marketing material.
    • Ensure effective brand placement is conducted at funeral services rendered by the company and Physical Sales Agents are assigned to attend funeral services.
    • Reporting and Administration
      • Ensure all sales concluded for the day are correctly loaded and reported accurately.
      • Compile Monthly sales and marketing activity plan.

    People Management

    • Manage performance of Sales Coordinators.
    • Manage development plans and learning paths of employees.
    • Initiate and implement company disciplinary procedure in addressing misconduct and poor performance.
    • Motivate and inspire team members and ensure their efforts are being recognized.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Grade 12, Matric Certificate and Diploma or Sales and Marketing qualification equivalent to a minimum level NQF Level 6
    • RE5 advantageous
    • Valid Driver’s License and be willing to drive extensively

    Experience Required

    • 5 years+ experience required in sales with previous working experience as Sales Manager in the insurance industry (2) years.
    • Management qualification (however experience will be considered).
    • In depth knowledge of managing a high-performance sales team.
    • Applicable experience of sales performance metrics.
    • Previous experience working in a customer facing environment.

    Technical Competencies

    • Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information.
    • Basic Financial management understanding. 
    • Well-developed oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Time management skills. 
    • Customer oriented with strong negotiation skills.
    • Computer literate. 
    • Valid Driver’s License be willing to drive extensively.

    Sales Coordinator (Giyani, Hammanskraal, Lotus Garden, Elim, Malamulele, Jane Furse and Tembisa)

    Purpose of the Job

    • Responsible for achieving area sales targets – planning, implementing, and directing the field sales agents’ activities in a designated area to achieve sales targets and meet the business objectives.
    • To increase Two Mountains’ market penetration within the assigned area and region.

    Key Outputs

    Sales Execution:

    • Responsible for supervising, monitoring, and ensuring that targets are met by field agents in catchment area.
    • Manage performance of sales agents.
    • Ensure all sales concluded for the day are correctly loaded and reported accurately.
    • Compile Monthly sales and marketing activity plan for sales team. 
    • Submit daily/weekly sales stats to ASM. • Motivate and inspire team members and ensure their efforts are being recognized. • Keep abreast of new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board. 
    • Identify new or potential business opportunities for Two Mountains business units i.e. Two Mountains Burial Services and Two Mountains Financial Services.
    • Conduct product presentations to potential clients (Group schemes, Corporates, and individuals) on Two Mountains products. • Draft sales plan and ensure Field Sales team adhere to it correctly.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Risk and Compliance Specialist

    Purpose of the Job

    Identify, evaluate, monitor, and communicate the Two Mountains Group Legal, QA, Risk, Compliance management activities to manage the organizational exposure to risks. Ensure that the organization’s risk and compliance management framework and component policies are effectively implemented and applied. Be the subject matter in the business on risk and compliance issues.

    Key Outputs

    Risk Management and Quality Assurance

    • Establish a sound compliance and risk management culture through awareness campaigns to influence behavior and drive the importance of risk mitigation.
    • Support the Two Mountains Underwriters Claims process.
    • Define and implement fit-for purpose solutions to mitigate identified risks and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and legislation (FAIS. AML, Insurance Act, etc.).
    • Develop, implement, and maintain a risk register to ensure that all risks are identified and monitored.
    • Conduct risk assessment to identify risk exposure and mitigation plans.
    • Enhanced controlled environment to mitigate Fraud Risk exposure.
    • Participate in risk and management committees, risk and compliance forums and manage related activities.
    • Translate strategies into actionable goals and execute projects/ initiatives aligned to strategic objectives with specific performance measures and control systems to track progress.
    • Define and implement business performance and risk management methodologies.
    • Manage operational risks on a day – to- day basis by understanding key processes, risk identification, risk analysis and monitoring risk activities.
    • Manage SLA and collaborate with second line risk teams to ensure required service levels are delivered within the organization.

    Compliance Management

    • Prioritize compliance risk assessment as part of compliance monitoring.
    • Ensure that the business is complying with applicable legislation, conduct legislative training when required.
    • Conduct regular assessments of compliance with all relevant compliance legislation and requirements.
    • Develop and implement controls and procedures to meet regulatory and best practice requirements.
    • Conduct investigations to determine root cause of compliance issues.
    • Maintain expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and provision of proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with second line compliance teams to ensure required service levels are delivered.

    Business Resilience/ Continuity

    • Effective crisis management (internal/external threats, as per Risk Scenario Planning).
    • Improve business resilience compliance across the group.

    Governance

    • Ensure that the business is operating in the correct governance framework.
    • Review and update policies, procedures, and tools in line with established framework.
    • Support with the preparation of Risk Governance reports as required.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Matric with related tertiary qualification: Bachelor of Administration, Bachelor of Finance, Bachelor of Law.
    • A professional qualification will be advantageous.

    Experience Required:

    • 3-5 years relevant Risk, Compliance and Regulatory experience is mandatory.
    • Working experience within the Financial Services industry preferred.

    Technical Competencies

    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
    • Good understanding of legislation impacting industry and specific FAIS.
    • Understanding audit methodology an advantage.
    • Computer literate and proficient with MS Office programs, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • Ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
    • Work effectively with internal and external colleagues and clients to accomplish organizational and team goals.
