    Sales Manager (Christian Division)

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Manage a sales team, providing guidance, training, support and mentoring as needed.
    • Provide ongoing training and support to the sales team to enhance their product knowledge and sales skills.
    • Working across UK/US principals with our distribution lists.
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share and footprint.
    • Ensuring key accounts sales targets are met and high levels of customer satisfaction and delivered.
    • Placing of orders and stock management.
    • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.

    Production Coordinator (Books)

    Qualifications & Experience

    • A relevant tertiary qualification
    • Minimum of 3 years of book production or operations experience
    • Successful and proven track record in a similar or related role
    • Computer literate (MS Word, Outlook and Excel)
    • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro
    • Excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans
    • Excellent organizational abilities; the ability to keep to deadlines
    • Meticulous, accurate and gives attention to detail
    • Shows initiative and is flexible

    Key Responsibilities

    • Attend reprint meetings
    • Request print quotes and compile budgets for reprints of print editions and new audiobooks
    • Plan, schedule and coordinate all processes for the production process and delivery timelines
    • Ensure delivery of products within set timelines and budgets
    • Capture and update information on Bookmaster and on NB's Title Management System
    • Update and maintain relevant information (reprint publication list and printing schedules)
    • Engage with internal and external stakeholders
    • Adhere to protocols in line with legal and audit requirements
    • Provide administrative support to the production manager
    • Work closely with colleagues in the production team
    • Coordinate the production of audiobooks

    Publicist Afrikaans and English Fiction/ Advertising Coordinator: Fiction (NB Publishers)

    Key Responsibilities

    Reporting to the publicity manager, the publicist's main responsibilities would include:

    • Preparing and implementing publicity and marketing plans for the group's Afrikaans and English adult fiction titles
    • Liaising with the media in order to obtain maximum positive publicity for our fiction titles in all forms of traditional, digital and social media
    • Building and maintaining relationships with authors, media and booksellers
    • Arranging author tours and events
    • Working in conjunction with in-house editorial and sales departments
    • Writing and coordinating marketing information for use in, among others, media releases, newsletters, internet marketing, social media and internal communication
    • To work within a designated marketing budget
