    Senior Marketing Intelligence Specialist - JHB North

    Description

    • The incumbent would be required to oversee the team of Marketing Intelligence Specialists who are responsible for supporting the sales teams by arming with media consumption information and facts and providing go to market presentations for them to go out and sell airtime.

    Ensure adherence to Company Policies

    • Adhere to and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures

    Team Performance and Development

    • Assist in planning, scheduling, coordinating and supervising subordinate activities to ensure efficiency and achievement of goals

    Research 

    • Understand research and analyse data using specialist industry resources.
    • Receive, understand, analyse and make industry research available to relevant sales staff and presenting findings to relevant stakeholders.
    • Evaluate effectiveness of campaigns in order to inform future campaigns.
    • Monitor, track and analyse all competitor activity.
    • Identify target audience/s and analyse their characteristics, behaviour and media habits.
    • Provide updates on all CPP deals.

    Monitor Marketing Intelligence

    • Supply competitor information, media landscape, audience insights, and brand insights information to sales department to relevant internal stakeholders in order to retain and grow business.
    • Compile and submit reports to the Chief Commercial Officer, Group Head of Sales and other reports that may be required from time to time.
    • Proactively identify trends that may affect current or potential revenue streams across channels.
    • Prepare and submit media landscape updates to relevant internal stakeholders.

    Client Liaison

    • Manage Account Executive (AE) and client/agency relationships to build respect and trust in your judgment.
    • Attend client/agency meetings, with AE’s.
    • Attend external meetings such as BRC, Telmar, and The Nielsen Company.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree in Marketing and/or Research and/or Media

    Video Editor - Gauteng

    Specific Tasks and Outcomes

    • Editing
    • Creating of imaginative edits which will continue to set The Show apart.
    • Syncing sound to raw footage.
    • Inserting offline and online edits of segments.
    • Building and designing motion graphic and design holding devices.
    • Creating effects and transitions.
    • Manipulating raw film and video images to create consistent colour tones throughout the edit.
    • Choosing compelling and effective music for each edit.
    • Sourcing and creating sound effects.
    • Assisting camera department with ingest of raw footage.
    • Editing, packaging, and delivering of weekly and monthly promos.
    • Packaging final episodes.
    • Delivering episodes and promos to final mix.
    • Liaising with freelance team members and final mix.

    Researcher - Gauteng

    Specific Tasks and Outcomes

    Research  

    • Researching and pitching investigative story ideas on a continuous basis.
    • Researching stories and handling this over to the external producers by means of a pitch document, this will include relative research, supporting/proof documents and contact details.
    • Planning visual treatment for stories and setting up shoots to this effect.
    • Ensuring a full filming schedule.
    • Daily managing of The Devi Show email addresses.

    Content Collation

    • Collating all content related to the story (Once assigned, after a commissioning process), this will include relevant undercover, setting up interviews, supporting/proof documents, writing questions, shooting interviews and overlay with cameraman and working with an editor and final mix.
    • Collating all relevant documentation, including transcriptions and handover documents to the script writing department.

    Ad-Hoc 

    • Contributing creatively to week editorials with the sole purpose of landing entertaining and informative television.
    • Transcribing interviews and delivering to the relevant producers.
    • Assisting in studio as and when required.
    • Attending legal viewings.

    Communication

    • Liaising daily with the Managing Editor and Executive Producer on new story ideas as well as the progress of current stories.

    Script Writing 

    • Plotting and writing story scripts, including all relevant interviews, undercover and confronts, keeping the Devi Show script formula in mind.
    • Incorporate visual treatment within the script writing process.
    • Qc’ing edited stories and scripting relevant changes.

    • Pitching at least one successful story idea per week.

    Key Performance Indicator 2

    • Compiling well researched questions for all interviewees and supplying this to the managing editor and executive producer for approval, 48 hours prior to the filming.

    • Planning visual treatment for stories and setting up visual treatment meetings with the camera crew and editors at least 48 hours before the filming of the first interview for applicable story, to discuss visual treatment.

    • Setting up all interviews, undercovers and confronts and complete filming within 2.5 weeks of pitch approval.

    Key Performance Indicator 5

    • Compile complete story handover files, with all transcriptions and supporting documents, within 3 days of completion of filming.

    Video Wall Operator - JHB North

    Description

    • The incumbent would be responsible for creating and operating sequential graphics for display on the video wall during live and pre-recorded productions.

    • Complete graphic requests using the applicable system.
