    Dispensary Manager - Cape Town

    Key responsibilities

    • Manages Dispensary personnel in line with Haleon Managerial Standards including taking disciplinary action when required.
    • Provide appropriate training and development to Dispensary personnel to meet their respective job responsibilities.
    • Monitors the daily Dispensary performance and take corrective action when performance does not meet the required standard.
    • Co-ordinate’s workflow and set up Dispensary Work Schedule.
    • Completes relevant documentation and administration in the dispensary.
    • Ensure dispensing activities are conducted according to GMP guidelines.
    • Manages and investigates stock discrepancies.
    • Responsible for the Flammable Store, Security Store(S5&6), Citric acid rebate store and Cold store.
    • Maintains Good Housekeeping standards in the Dispensary & Related Areas.
    • GMP & COMPLIANCE - Ensuring products are manufactured to the required quality and compliance standards.
    • QUALITY - Ensuring compliance to QMS (Quality Management System) & Regulatory requirements in the Dispensary and Related Areas.
    • ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY (EHS) - Ensuring product is manufactured to the required EHS standards.
    • PRODUCTION - Executing Production activities in accordance with agreed supply plan.
    • Initiating troubleshooting, problem solving and resolution of any obstacles in achieving agreed supply plan.
    • Approving commencement of manufacturing and packaging runs after performing line clearance checks.
    • Controlling manufacturing and packaging batch records in production.
    • Controlling the issue of raw materials and packaging components for production.
    • Work directly with planning, QC, other QA functions, to ensure batches are released to meet Business requirements.
    • Ensure adherence to GMP requirements within the manufacturing site.
    • Participate in self-inspection audits.
    • Creating and reviewing written procedures.
    • Ensuring adequate archiving and retention of batch documents.

    Qualifications and skills

    Required

    • Pharmacist qualification.
    • Registered as a Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council.
    • Ideally 5 years’ experience within a pharmaceutical production environment. 

    Other Skills/Qualifications

    • Good planning/scheduling ability.
    • Good time management.
    • Ability to management a team successfully.

    Site Scheduler - Cape Town

    Key responsibilities:

    • Manages the short-term planning process by converting the 0 – 13-week supply plan into an optimized production schedule and implementing appropriate measures to ensure we achieve conformance to plan, make Frequency, Manufacturing Lead-time, Site Days Inventory Outstanding & Inventory Reduction Targets and prepare weekly/monthly reports indicating performance against these targets
    • Set up and distribute the weekly production schedule based on pre-determined optimal production run sequences, optimal utilization of available resources and deliver a plan to production for execution
    • Record production results and report to the relevant functions to initiate corrective actions and to enhance effective planning, monitor, analyze, and report performance to schedule production activities (Conformance to Plan) utilizing information derived from material and production control systems
    • Ensure that the local ERP system reflects the optimized production schedule and/or changes to the schedule, build and maintain Flexible Repeating Schedule process, reviewed quarterly to refresh cycle based on demand changes and site performance
    • Escalate supply-related issues to Site Scheduling Manager and Supply Planner, prepare weekly deck on CTP Root Causes Analysis, Material Availability issues and SOLS events (Stock out/Low Stock).
    • Work closely with the Supply Planner to drive the Rough-Cut Capacity Process and ensure that it delivers an achievable plan in the 3-month time and jointly work with Materials Planner to ensure availability of materials to meet the supply plan
    • Ensure that all 1st touch procurement processes are implemented, and appropriate action is taken to resolve supplier-related issues timeously recommend adjustments to the short-term plan to ensure optimal utilization of resources (people, machines and materials) and maintain the relevant master data relevant to scheduling in order to retrieve up to date data for effective planning (batch sizes, shift patterns, crew factor, demonstrated run rates, C/O, product sequence matrix, cycle times, PM, shutdown calendars, product conversion cost, inventory holding cost, asset depreciation, etc.)
    • Jointly work with Procurement to ensure optimum stock levels for both raw materials and components and set appropriate stock levels of inventory, manage phase-out of materials to ensure minimum stock write-off for NPI or artwork changes, and maintain and improve the operating model for the South Africa Supply Chain with all associated Core Commercial Cycle processes (CCC) and systems (e.g. SOLS, SAP etc.) and drive continuous improvement initiatives to deliver Supply Chain KPI’s

    Qualifications & Skills:                       

    • Diploma in Supply Chain (or relative experience)
    • 1 – 3 years of experience as a Supply Chain Planning Scheduler or similar role
    • Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems, especially Advance Planning Systems. Computer literate and understands Supply Chain technology
    • Experience using Excel in a supply chain planning scheduler environment 
    • Willingness and agility to learn in a fast-paced environment
    • Proven experience as a Supply Chain Planning Scheduler
    • Resilience to manage multiple and varied business contacts, both internal and external, often with different requirements and goals
    • Above average interpersonal skills: networking, influencing, coaching and communication skills demonstrated at all levels in the site
    • Good English oral and writing skills
    • Strong analytical skill and ability to manage multiple data sources and present in a format that drives effective decision making
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build relationships across the business
    • Self-motivated, able to improve performance, confident and resilient
    • Ability to handle information, analyse and make decisions
    • Problem solving abilities suitable for handling the complex issues

    Corporate Security Manager, Southern Africa - Cape Town

    IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL…

    • You will be supporting HALEON’s Global Corporate Security strategy and programs across Southern Africa. You will be reporting to and working closely with Haleon’s regional head of security and South Africa and Southern African business unit, company leadership in South Africa and site senior leaders to protect our people, assets, operations, and reputation.
    • Be accountable for the Corporate Security Program within the company, which encompasses Security Risk Management (security audits, security risk assessments), crisis & business continuity management (guiding and supporting the business with their various BCPs, development of security response plans, SOPs, crisis plans), working closely with internal security champions network and regional security leaders, raising security awareness, and developing and managing travel security programs.
    • Analyze both external and internal risk, threats, vulnerabilities, and trends potentially impacting our people, business, and reputation, including theft, fraud, general criminality, counterfeiting, and employee external safety concerns (crime trend analysis and safety training), and develop response plans to mitigate risks in coordination with the regional and Global Head of Corporate Security.
    • Handle crisis & business continuity management, which includes Incident Management, Crisis Resolution, guiding and supporting business leaders with contingency plans and business impact analysis.
    • Conduct assessments of supply chain security risks, and provide actionable advise and solutions.
    • Conduct reviews, generating reports, and making recommendations.
    • Administer, implement, and oversee local Executive Protection program management.
    • Manage fleet security, tracking and asset protection.
    • Oversee business continuity planning and management.
    • Conduct pre-employment screening, where required.
    • Oversee security guard force and security vendors in the country and establish a network of security vendors across Southern Africa.
    • Perform regular and prescribed security risk assessments throughout our Supply Chain, offices, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and other business priorities.
    • Assess, implement and manage Insider Threat program.
    • Oversee security operations management, as well as conduct security audits, for all business premises including warehouses, manufacturing facilities, offices, residences, and other critical premises.
    • Possess the ability and knowledge to work and support the security risks across Southern Africa, with specific focus on South Africa.
    • Work collaboratively with the Southern and South African business units (BU) leadership, site leadership and regional head of security.
    • This role will be reporting to either Regional Corporate Security Manager for Africa or Global Head of Corporate Security but will be working extremely closely with manufacturing site leadership and commercial leadership teams across South Africa including BU General Management.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • 10+ Years’ professional experience, preference given to those with relevant FMCG, manufacturing or multinational setting.
    • Internal and external stakeholder management with suppliers and internal customers, required analytical skills to guide the business.
    • Experience in military, police or other security apparatus is mandatory.
    • Knowledge on how to implement Security Management Programs and technology.
    • Strategic thinking, diplomatic in demeanor and approach, while recognizing and resolving local business needs.
    • Ability to manage multiple business priorities simultaneously.
    • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication & listening skills.
    • Fluency in English required (reading, writing, spoken), additional local or Southern African languages will be an advantage.

    • Flexibility to work across South Africa and Southern Africa.
    • Ability to travel on short notices. This role requires frequent travel across South and Southern Africa.
