    Business Manager - Ammonia Derivatives

    Qualifications

    • University (First degree) 

    Experience

    • Experience enables job holder to deal with the majority of situations and to advise others (Over 5 years to 8 years)
    • Experience in explosive chemicals raw materials / manufacture process)
    • Great customer relationship 

    Duties

    Customer Relationship Development / Prospecting

    • Develop and implement a customer contact plan to communicate product launches and engage the potential customers in relevant sales campaigns to build new relationships. Act as first point of contact for customer queries and complaints and resolve these, referring complex issues to others and ensuring that the customer receives an appropriate response.

    Customer Needs Clarification

    • Set clear objectives for each sales call or meeting; use standard materials to make a presentation to the customer; and ask relevant questions to evaluate the customer's level of interest and to identify and respond to areas requiring further information or explanation.

    Sales Opportunities Creation

    • Develop a personal network within the sales territory and represent the organization at trade shows and other events to identify sales opportunities, promote the organization, and enhance its reputation.

    Sell Customer Propositions 

    • Use personal expertise to identify the complex standard products and/or services offered by the organization that meet the customer's needs, together with quantities and product configurations. Present these to the customer with a clear rationale and at standard commercial terms, referring to senior colleagues where necessary to ask
    • for concessions (e.g., price reduction) that gain the customer's agreement.

    Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Data

    • Schedule follow-up actions and enter relevant information into the customer relationship management system after each contact with a customer to create a call plan and to ensure that the organization has quality data to enable effective customer retention and business development activities.

    Operational Compliance

    • Identify, within the team, instances of non-compliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these and escalating issues as appropriate.

    Performance Management

    • Respond to personal objectives and use performance management systems to improve personal performance. OR Monitor the performance of the team; allocate work and review completion, take appropriate corrective action to ensure timeliness and quality; contribute to formal individual performance management and appraisal.

    Personal Capability Building

    • Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

    Site Superintendent

    Qualifications

    • Relevant Tertiary Qualification.

    Budgets and Reporting

    • Budget Planning, Management and Reporting, proving efficiency and maximum leverage.

    Experience

    • 3 -5 years’ relevant experience within a Liquid Fertilizer Facility.
    • Production experience will be beneficial.
    • A strong mechanical aptitude would be beneficial.
    • Strong experience of Supply Chain Management (including expediting, lead-time reduction, inventory management, packaging & shipping),

    Duties

    • Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the Site
    • Work closely with personnel to review site efficiency while monitoring consistently to determine trends and areas of improvement,
    • Monitor operation expenses and research ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quantity and quality.
    • Controlling and optimising  of raw material deliveries,  dispatch, and delivery of product,
    • Work closely with the Environmental Health and Safety Manager to ensure all members of the team are aware of safety policies to provide a safe workplace for our employees,
    • Maintain and support a superior safety and housekeeping program, including all timely communication initiatives,
    • Develop and execute the plant manufacturing budgets.
    • Participate and prepare for audits ensuring compliance.
    • Analyze workforce requirements,
    • Encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment,
    • Remove constraints; allocate human and equipment resources and direct employees to attain all established goals,
    • Ensure the plant and equipment is implemented and maintained in accordance with Engineering standards, local and statutory legislation, ISO systems and Health & Safety legislation,
    • To develop and lead the continuous improvement activities within the team,
    • Deal with staff issues and concerns,
    • Planning developing and training of production staff,
    • Management meetings,
    • Interface extensively with the Marketing and Client environments.
    • Oversee the warehousing/distribution of products.

    Instructor III - UG

    Qualifications

    • N3 or Equivalent

    Experience

    •  3 years’ demonstrated experience in Underground Explosives Mining Environment
    • 2 years’ demonstrated knowledge of performing Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical Maintenance

    Duties

    Available quality assured product and equipment

    • Testing and quality assurance of the product.
    • Transferring of product from surface silos transfer cassettes and Emulsion Charging Units.
    • Usage of BME emulsion charging units

    Trained/informed employees and relevant stakeholders

    • Provide training for mine personnel.
    • Demonstrate the correct method for transporting emulsion technology.
    • Demonstrate the correct method of operating emulsion pumps.
    • Demonstrate the correct method for loading a blast face.
    • Demonstrate the ability to support emulsion blasting operations without supervision.
    • Lead a team of BME personnel in the technical support of underground blasting operations.

    Audited and reported/supported standards of tasks and operations

    • Manage quality control in underground storage areas.
    • Monitor and support daily charging operations.
    • Ensure regular inspections of sites, vehicles and equipment and that they ensure that standards are maintained.
    • Oversees maintenance, inspections and production schedules of equipment and vehicles.
    • Undertake benchmarking on daily blasting activities
    • Cultivates a culture among staff of neatness, cleanliness, and orderliness in line with SHERQ requirements.

    Maintained equipment

    • Repair & maintain emulsion equipment underground.
    • Maintenance of charging unit equipment

    Technical Support

    • Charging of blast holes according to blast design
    • Timing of blast holes according to blast design
