    Engineering - Head of Distribution

    Role Objectives:

    • To drive, grow and develop Construction & Engineering for Hollard Insure in line with C&E divisional budget objectives and overall Hollard Insure’s strategic intent. Manage the  business development team to service and manage existing intermediary relationships. Drive a C&E market presence with intermediaries. Provide excellent service to internal & external customers

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and influence the BDM Team to manage C&E business targets
    • Negotiate and structure solutions with intermediaries, consultants, and clients
    • Maintain ongoing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    • Develop new relationships
    • Explore markets for new business opportunities and develop and expand existing business
    • Feasibility assessment of new business opportunities
    • Quality assurance and peer review on all construction & engineering risks in adherence to internal and external governance standards
    • Sustain and develop profile in the insurance industry through industry bodies
    • Identify and develop product enhancements in accordance with market development, client requirements and/or broker inputs
    • Communicate new developments/trends in the C&E space. Local & Africa developments
    • Ensure risks are minimised and legislation is complied with.
    • Develop a Sales strategy that is to be implemented & driven by BDMs throughout RSA
    • Mentoring & Coaching team members

    Required Knowledge and Experience    

    • Deep understanding of the C&E Market on a National basis
    • 10 years’ experience in insurance
    • Business development experience
    • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of an organization
    • Good analytical skills
    • Good work ethic and strong goal orientation
    • Strong relationship marketing and networking skills
    • Strong leadership skill and coaching style

    Educational Requirements    

    • NQF 7 Insurance qualification or similar
    • FAIS compliant(RE)

    Team Leader Salvage

    Role Objectives

    • The salvage Team Leader will manage the Salvage operations as set by the National Motor Salvage Manager by ensuring operational efficiencies, optimal resource allocation and quality service delivery.  Strive towards service excellence and cost effectiveness. Must be deadline driven.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Drive the Motor Salvage Specialised Claims Services strategic objectives
    • Manage the operational processes for the Motor Salvage team, including management of stock in bond and the upliftment of all accident write-off vehicles
    • Responsible for setting objectives and monitor performance, through Performance Management System.
    • Have access to a wide network of contacts within and outside the industry, to assist in obtaining information.
    • Prepare monthly reports & statistical information.
    • Analyse and interpret market trends and suggest and implement recommendations to reduce risks.
    • Monitor internal system processes and productivity and adjust & implement streamlined & efficient processes
    • Ad hoc projects and assignments
    • Engage and collaborate with team members on i.e. Assessments, Stolen and Stolen and Recoveries & and Investigations.
    • Ensuring team and service providers adherence to agreed SLA, KPI and appropriate legislation (E.g SAIA Code of Salvage).
    • Coaching all staff members on the technical and operational aspects of their roles through monthly one-on-ones or when needed
    • Ensure that Performance contracts are in place for the team and monthly discussions is held as well as performance discussions at the end of every performance period.

    Required Knowledge and Experience    

    • Minimum 5 years short term insurance industry and product knowledge
    • Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Analytical thinking
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
    • Negotiation skills
    • PC skills – Excel, Power Point, etc

    Educational Requirements    

    • Matric/Grade 12
    • NQF 5 Insurance Qualification
