    Depot Controller (Margate)

    Responsibilities
    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    Sales Management
     

    • Achieve bread and Tinkie sales targets for depot
    • Identify and develop new markets
    • Conduct route surveys and capture all requirements on route riding App.
    • Work with customers to ensure shelves are not under or over stocked.
    • Ensure on time in full deliveries with a quality product.
    • Coordinate in-store promotions.

     Financial management

    • Expense management
    • Conduct route Viability surveys.
    • Wage and overtime cost management
    • Manage driver balances, daily settlements and POD controls in line with company requirements.
    • Driver cash deposits are done timeously and in full as per company requirements.

    Human Resources Management

    • Performance management of drivers and VA’s.
    • Manage conflict resolution
    • Oversee the consistent application, enforcement and management of discipline at the depot
    • Ensure compliance to relevant employment legislation and company policies

    Health and Safety

    • Ensure compliance to OHS act.
    • Ensure compliance to any other regulations e.g., Covid-19
    • On time reporting and investigation of all incidents and accidents.

    Site Management

    • Ensure that the housekeeping is maintained on the site
    • Report any structural, electrical or sewage defects on the site to the landlord and Bakery Manager.
    • Inspect and sign off any work conducted by outside contractors.
    • Assets management on site
    • Crate control

    Fleet Management

    • Ensure daily truck checks are conducted by drivers.
    • Only allow authorised drivers to operate company vehicles.
    • Truck cleanliness
    • Report any defects to the Fleet Manager.
    • Fuel usage to be monitored and exceptions reported to the Fleet manager.

    Security 

    • Oversee security on site
    • Ensure security do proper stock verification.
    • Ensure security only allow authorized people on site with your approval.
    • Ensure security only allow assets to leave the site with your approval.
    • Security to identify any staff members under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

    Stock Management

    • Balance stock and returns daily
    • First in first out stock rotation.
    • No excess stock on truck
    • Returns within target.
    • Minimal damages

    Qualifications
    ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Five years sales experience in an FMCG environment, preferably in a similar role.
    • Gr12 or equivalent

    Responsibilities

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • To minimise plant downtime through efficient & effective maintenance in line with good engineering practice & the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures
    • To maximise Plant efficiency through continuous improvement

    Qualifications
    WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE

    • Required Prior Learning
    • Must have a N3 qualification (preferably N5)
    • Trade-certified Millwright qualified with strong mechanical and electrical knowledge & experience
    • Minimum 5 years’ previous experience in a similar position (preferably in the FMCG environment)
    • Computer literacy: MS Office
    • Previous experience in food processing and packing will be a distinct advantage
    • Able to work shifts & overtime

    Job Description
    THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

    • You will be responsible for the maintenance and up keep of the machinery in our Pretoria Bakery division along with a team of highly qualified artisans . Together we will feed the nation . 

    Responsibilities
    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Making sure machinery is available and utilized to full capacity
    • Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance to improve operational efficiency on all machines assigned to the position
    • Electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs on equipment such as boilers, sterilizers, conveyors, pumps, etc.
    • To minimize plant downtime through efficient & effective maintenance in line with good engineering practice
    • Rewiring of electrical machinery with a view to effective improvements
    • Overhaul spare / old machinery to be available when breakdowns occur
    • Work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations such as LOTOTO
    • Read blueprints and schematic drawings to understand how machinery should be assembled
    • Working on Hydraulic and pneumatic machines with PLC circuits
    • Aligning pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, electric motors and pulleys.
    • Always maintaining 5s and hygiene standards in line a food manufacturing plant

    • To efficiently manage stocks of spares & equipment needed to maintain plant
    • Maximize Plant efficiency through continuous improvement

    Qualifications

    • Matric or equivalent
    • N3 Electrical Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering
