    Enrolled Nurse (PPPrev Programme) eThekwini

    Purpose of the position:

    • The Enrolled Nurse will be responsible the continuation of AGYW on the HIV prevention package under the direct and/ or indirect supervision of the Nurse Clinician.

    Minimum Requirements    

    •  Grade 12
    •  Certificate in nursing from a college
    •  Current registration with SANC
    •  2 years of working experience within a similar environment or any clinical setting
    •  Computer literacy in the Microsoft Office package
    •  Proficiency in English and isiZulu
    •  Valid code 08 drivers' licence
    •  Clear criminal record

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    •  Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders in the community, facility managers, AYFS staff, institutions of higher learning and  learner representative organisations in identified clusters
    •  Collaborates with Department of Basic Education (DBE), Department of Social Development (DSD), Department of Health (DOH) managers, other Government Departments, partners and community role-players
    •  Maps out CBOs and community sites for continuation of HIV Prevention services including PrEP
    •  Implements a diary system to ensure all AGYW initiated on HIV prevention services including PrEP are diarised
    •  Conduct follow-ups to ensure continuity
    •  Provides the continuity of service
    •  Adheres to Infection Prevention Control (IPC) standards
    •  Implements the Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) protocol and ensures all staff adhere to the protocol
    •  Identify victims of gender-based violence and referral for provision of minimum package of post violence care services, including HIV testing, PEP, EC, STI screening, psychosocial support, and linkage to medical forensic services
    •  Ensures appropriate navigation and referral of all new cases for psychosocial support to SAWs and Social Worker interventions
    •  Facilitate package of integrated SRH services through appropriate referrals to the nurse clinician
    •  Provides mentorship to HAST counsellors
    •  Submits daily, weekly and monthly reports

    Data Capturer (KZN) - Correctional Services Programme

    Purpose of the position:

    • The role of the data capturer is to correctly capture HIV and TB data into the monitoring system(s) as per the DCS programme requirements, and ensure timeous data submission of data as per the principles of the THC M&E framework, and the M&E policies and procedures for the DCS and DoH.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Matric
    • Relevant diploma or degree, or at least 2 years relevant experience in lieu of a qualification
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience on data management, data verification and quality assurance

    • Excellent administrative and organizational skills
    • Previous experience within the Correctional services is an advantage

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Responsible for the capturing of all HIV /TB information from primary and secondary sources
    • Ensures the timeous submission of data to the Regional Data Monitors
    • Maintains excellent communication with HAST Counsellors and Health Managers
    • With the support of the Regional Data Monitor conducts routine audits and data quality checks.
    • Ensures systematic daily filing of patients’ inmates records including blood results
    • Regularly attends data verification meetings with the various Correctional Centres.
    • Maintains signed off copies of all monthly and quarterly data submission reports.
    • Maintains and adheres to the Confidentiality Policy of patient/inmate information for DCS, DoH and THCA.
    • Responsible for communicating any challenges and or data collection/capturing issues to the Data Monitor as soon as they occur.
    • Documenting of daily activities and reporting of those activities on a monthly basis to the Data Monitor.

    District Manager: Key Populations (KZN)

    Purpose of the position:

    • The District Manager will be accountable to lead, manage and be responsible for the development and operations of THC’s key populations programme in the region including site and mobile unit(s) development, integration of work with subcontracted organisation(s), overall responsibility for all the site programme team members operating in the district.  To provide mentorship and guidance to the team members on implementation of HIV management for key populations to uptake HIV Testing Services and ensure ART same-day initiation with adherence interventions implemented as well as PrEP services provided as the HIV prevention intervention

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Degree in Nursing (BCur) or related qualification in Public Health Sciences or Social Sciences
    • Post-basic training and certification in health assessment (primary health care)
    • NIMART certification preferable
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with NIMART, ART clubs, sexual reproductive health (SRH), previous experience with  sex workers is desirable
    • Extensive experience in managing health programmes
    • Proven experience in the field of health service provision to key populations
    • Dispensing licence preferable
    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council or South African Council for Social Services Professions
    • Possess good knowledge of HIV Management including care and treatment, TB/STI and PrEP services
    • Valid code 8 driver’s licence and own transport
    • Ability to communicate in English and/or isiZulu

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Engage stakeholders in Sex Worker HIV prevention project through joint meetings, workshops attending events, collaborating on Key Population projects, etc
    • Establish, develop and build relationships with all key DOH officials deemed important for the successful functioning of the Key Populations/sex worker project
    • Participate in district, and PHC meetings; support multi-disciplinary team approach to managing clients
    • Ensure that all financial requirements are aligned with the policies and internal control processes of the organisation policies and procedures
    • Assist with all HR and operations functions
    • Assist with supportive supervision of all direct subordinates and indirect staff of collaborating organisations
    • Attend regular staff and supervisory team meetings and provide guidance and leadership
    • Situational analysis of infection control among sex workers
    • Oversee community outreach services to provide health services to sex workers including provision and access to condoms (male and female) and lubes
    • Scale up HIV targeted testing access hard to reach sex workers
    • Ensure that TB screening is done at every HIV care visit
    • Train clinical staff on infection control
    • Submit periodic reports as determined by the M&E Manager for external and internal reporting
    • Participate in implementation science projects which benefits the evolution of the programme

    Enrolled Nurse_Retreat

    Purpose of the position

    • To provide a comprehensive Wellness mobile health service by providing HIV testing and counselling services linked to screening and diagnosing clients for TB/STI’s. Provision of treatment and clinical care to HIV & TB patients and ensure successful linkage to care and adherence with specific focused on key populations. The Enrolled Nurse works under the direct supervision of the Professional Nurse Coordinator.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12
    • Relevant Nursing qualification 
    • At least 2 years’ experience in nursing after registration
    • Computer literacy
    • Clinical HIV management experience is mandatory
    • Previous experience working with key populations 
    • Proficiency in English and isiXhosa; fluency in Afrikaans is advantageous

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Coordinate and conduct outreach HIV, TB and STI services in the community, workplace, correctional services, farms schools and DOH facilities

    Power Platform Application Developer

    Purpose of the position:

    • The application developer, under the direct supervision of the Information Systems Manager, will be responsible for the design, development, integration, configuration, and implementation and support of information systems used within the organisation, both transversal as well as programmatic.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • BCom (Information Systems) degree or equivalent qualification
    • At least 3 years of hands-on experience providing support for Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications on desktop and laptop PCs
