• At least two years’ teaching/lecturing/industry experience relevant to the subject field.

Desired Qualification, Knowledge and/or Experience          

• Evidence of progress towards a Doctorate degree in isiZulu.
• Any acknowledged publication, research, innovation or creative output.

• To coordinate various teaching and learning related academic development and support projects/activities in the faculty as delegated by the Centre for Innovation in Learning and Teaching

Main tasks

• Coordinate the implementation of the University Capacity Development Grant project
• Coordinate student academic development and support initiatives in the faculties
• Administration and support
• Research

Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience       

• Honours Degree
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in Student Academic Development and Support in higher education

Desired Qualification, Knowledge and/or Experience          

• Masters degree
• Over 5 years of experience in Student Academic Development and Support in higher education

Main purpose of the job

• To provide facilities maintenance and general maintenance services to the University.

Main tasks

• Ensure implementation and monitoring of maintenance processes and systems in line with University requirements and relevant legislation
• Oversee the provision of maintenance services
• Manage the service desk function
• Manage the provision of contract management services
• Manage projects for the unit
• Develop, manage and implement a budget for the unit
• Manage the performance and development of staff

Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience             

• National Diploma Electrical/Mechanical/ Building Science.
• 5 years related experience in maintenance management, 3 of which must be in a facilities management environment (Electrical/Mechanical/Building Science).

Desired Qualification, Knowledge and/or Experience   

• B-Tech or degree in the fields Electrical/Mechanical/ Building Science.
• Qualification in Facilities Management.
• Electrical and/or Mechanical Trade Test.
