    Credit Controller (Longmeadow)

    Purpose of the Role:

    • We are looking to hire an experienced credit controller to expertly manage the debts of our company. As a credit controller, you will be responsible for collecting debts from our company debtors, evaluating new credit requests, ensuring timely payments of company debts,  managing all queries, and providing administrative support.
    • To ensure success as a credit controller, you should have a good eye for detail and the ability to reconcile complex company accounts. Ultimately, a top-class credit controller can maximize company profits by efficiently managing its debts.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Collecting Debt (High volumes).
    • Reconciliations to customer remittances (high transaction volume accounts).
    • Calculation and allocation of settlement discounts.
    • Query resolving with other ACDC departments such as Sales, Repairs and Returns.
    • Attending to daily customer queries via email and telephone.
    • Compiling Bad debt handover packs when needed.
    • Updating various finance related shared Microsoft schedules.
    • Meeting weekly and monthly reporting deadlines.

    Requirements

    • This position should be someone that is a self-starter, dedicated to her/his work, with great attention to detail
    • Minimum 5 years full credit control experience
    • Prepared to work on Saturdays as and when needed
    • Strong organisational and time management skills
    • Matric + tertiary qualification preferred

    Bookkeeper (Port Elizabeth)

    Description
    Full accounting function up to trial balance which includes, but are not limited to: 

    • Cashbooks, journals, intercompany transactions, accruals, trial balance, fixed asset register, reconciliations. 
    • Prepare and submit Statutory Returns. 
    • Prepare monthly audit schedules for balance sheet and selected expense accounts.  

    Also explain deviations. 

    • Preparation of year-end accounts and coordination with external auditors. 
    • Assist in the preparations of budgets. 
    • Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, ad hoc & yearend reporting as required by management. 

    Good understanding of Statutory Legislations 

    • Statutory Returns Monthly & Recons. 
    • Timeous capturing of statutory returns. 
    • Monthly Balancing and Reconciling of Statutory returns to the GL. 
    • Allocate, capture and control sundry expenses  
    • Prepare sundry creditors for payment, allocate payments, reconcile. 
    • Accurate reconciliation of petty cash expenditure. 
    • Assets - Register and journals 
    • Update fixed asset register on a monthly basis. 
    • Complete monthly depreciation journals. 
    • Monthly Control/Clearing Accounts Balancing/Recon (Debtors/Creditors/Stock/Bank) 
    • Monthly General Journals  
    • Maintain financial records and prepare general ledger accounts. 
    • Maintain debit order and SLA file, update and review on a monthly basis. 
    • Record financial transactions. 
    • Record general journal entries. 
    • Effective record keeping of transactions, accounts, special journals and payments. 
    • Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations 
    • Preparation of schedules and audit file for Financials monthly 
    • Assist FM with Year End and Audit requirements 
    • Assist with audits of the company. 
    • Conduct general administration functions. 
    • Filing systems implemented and ensure maintained to ensure documents are easily retrievable. 

    Requirements

    • Matric + tertiary finance diploma or certificate
    • 4 - 5 years in similar role
