    Senior Data Steward (Retail)

    Job Description

    • The Data Steward role will operate in a cross-functional manner by engaging with technical specialists, business stakeholders and leaders to influence and enhance the use, quality, accessibility and understanding of data across the group. They will also be responsible for implementing data-oriented procedures and standards to ensure alignment and compliance with corporate governance policies and practices.

    Responsibilities

    • Implementation of procedures, guidelines and standards to ensure alignment and compliance to corporate governance policies, protocols and practices regarding the responsible use and distribution of data.
    • Overseeing data access and ensuring usage policies are understood and approved.
    • Involvement in data integration, migration & data cleansing
    • Engaging with data custodians and IT architects during data classification exercises
    • Approval of data-retention and data archiving criteria
    • Establishing procedures for the detection, correction and prevention of data-quality issues
    • Recommending solutions to data challenges and achieving compromises that enhance the use and management of data across the FBH group.
    • Collaborating with stakeholders to resolve issues or obstacles affecting the quality of data.
    • Engaging through Centres of Excellence (COEs) and leadership channels to define data quality control mechanisms (establishing KPI’s to drive data quality, for example)
    • Establishing data management monitoring capabilities (incl. dashboards and/or reports) that can be used to monitor, measure and drive better behaviour.
    • Data profiling and validation of data in terms of the expected data quality requirements
    • Data support during analysis and testing phases (where relevant)
    • Definition and maintenance of business measure definitions and rules; requiring engagement with stakeholders to agree on common definitions and calculations of analytic and reporting data.
    • Enhancing and maintaining a meta data repository for relevant/critical data elements
    • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for FBH to answer metadata requests (access and interpretation) for business metadata.
    • Project integration for data management assessment and risk (including data quality)
    • Partner with our learning academy to train elements of data literacy related to understanding data.
    • Work alongside BI analysts and technical specialists to analyse, define, source and model the data required by the FBH group for reporting and analytics.
    • Identify and understand gaps related to the availability/accessibility of critical data elements (current and future) and develop strategies to address.
    • Validation of business rule conformance in calculations and data aggregations
    • Manage any changes to data definitions, usage, access, policies, and administration in compliance with data governance standards and practices across the FBH group

    Requirements

    • Relevant qualification, i.e. B. Com or equivalent
    • Experience in the Retail Industry is essential.
    • Strong SQL skills
    • Advanced Excel
    • Good understanding of Data Modelling & Data Warehousing concepts
    • Excellent analytical skills and experience in data analysis
    • BI Visualization tools (i.e. QlikSense) experience preferable
    • Ability to work with large data sets and experience with integrating many data sources for reporting and analysis purposes.
    • Strong understanding of and sensitivity towards data integrity and cleanliness
    • Understanding of processes and the systems development life cycle
    • 3-5 years experience related to the above requirement.
    • Ability to think strategically (display foresight)
    • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
    • Curios about data and passionate about the retail industry and applying analytics to enhancing the retail experience.

    Order to Cash Supervisor

    Job Description

    • This role is an essential part of the Finance team. As a leader in our Finance Hub you will contribute to the operations and management of the Finance Shared Service Centre. You will be accountable for ensuring that all transactions associated with the Accounts Receivable process are carried out in a timely and efficient manner. Meeting and exceeding business led SLA standards whilst also providing support across other areas of the Shared Service Centre as needed.
    • The role requires an ambitious individual who will bring energy and technical expertise to this dynamic, diverse and highly creative company.
    • This role reports to the Hub Finance Head.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage effective transaction processing in line with policy and processes.
    • Answering customer and business queries in a timely and effective manner.
    • Resolve any customer statement queries.
    • Lead collections activity to ensure timely collection of amounts owed.
    • Approval of customer payment allocation batches.
    • Review and approve client job closure.
    • Detailed tax compliance knowledge related to Account Receivable processes.
    • Document processes during knowledge transfer using standard templates.
    • Review and approve documented processes.
    • Review and approve changes to Vendor Master file data for both new and existing suppliers.
    • Contribute to the wider centre, supporting other team members as needed to help ensure the continued success of our centre.
    • Contribute to the identification and deployment of continuous improvement opportunities to refine processes and controls.
    • Provide operational cover for PTP Supervisor for approvals and other relevant tasks.
    • Completion of month end tasks.
    • Generation of accounts receivable debtor listings. Review to ensure timely escalation of aged outstanding amounts.
    • Guide and manage the OTC team to meet and exceed agreed business SLA targets.
    • Lead, manage and motivate the Account Receivable team.

    What are we looking for?

    • Knowledge of the Media or Digital sectors an advantage, but not a requirement.
    • Prior experience working in a Shared Service Centre environment.
    • Good communication, influencing, collaboration and relationship building skills across global cultures.
    • Must be a team player but capable of working alone.
    • Demonstrate being curious, robust and self-motivated, driving improved financial control within our business.
    • Desire to drive improvements in the end-to-end process for accounting and reporting.
    • Experience of working in a standard ERP with specific experience of NetSuite desirable.
    • Fluent English language skills. Other languages an advantage.
    • Experienced in Microsoft office packages.
    • Educated to college standard.
    • Prior experience: 10 years working in an Accounts Department or Shared Service Centre with at least 2 leading an Account Receivable team.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • They are looking to recruit an Intermediate Java Developer to service their telecommunications clients.
    • Your role will be to assist in System Design, for example, architectural design, assisting other developers with technical decisions and coding, and performing prescribed coding and reviewing of same.
    • You will also be required to research and choose the best architecture for the proposed system adhering to development standards.
    • Develop code ensuring that it meets the defined criteria for software testing, and produce software builds for loading onto target hardware from software source code within our clients coding standards.
