    Senior Manager - Investigations

    Our external client based in Pretoria is currently recruiting for a Manager: Investigations PAA implementation & support. Primary function - support BU's with technical support during the audit process when a MI is identified and referred to the MI Committee. Coordinate and monitor subsequent remedial or referral processes, including the certificate of debt (CoD) process.
     

    PAAimplementation and support - Primary function

    RemedialAction:

    • Reviewing of MIs or suspected MIs lodged on the Case Management System (CMS) and assessing the substantiated evidence
    • Provide support and guidance to RABUs regarding MIs and required evidence
    • Reviewing of submissions to the MI committee prior to sign-off by Business Executive (BE)
    • Following up on recommendations included in the audit reports
    • Assessing recommendations implemented by Accounting Officers (AOs)/ Accounting Authorities (AAs) and substantiating documentation in support of implementation
    • Coordinating the process of taking remedial action for failure to implement recommendations
    • Assessing the financial losses as determined by AOs/AAs in cases where losses were suffered and/or quantifying the financial losses, if AOs/AAs have failed to do so
    • Coordinating and facilitating the written representation processes
    • Assessing any written representations made by AOs/AAs
    • Coordinating and facilitating verbal presentations to the advisory committee
    • Assessing the recommendations made by the advisory committee on the issuing of certificates of debt (CoD) and preparing subsequent submissions
    • Coordinating and facilitating the issuing of CoDs, if and when the company decides to do so
    • Following up and reviewing of progress reports by the executive authorities on recovery of CoDs; and
    • Providing inputs for the accountability reports on remedial actions taken.

    Referrals:

    • Reviewing of submissions to the MI committee prior to sign-off by BE
    • Coordinating and facilitating the referral of MI or suspected MI matters to public bodies
    • Liaising with the various public bodies
    • Reviewing of progress updates from public bodies
    • Reviewing and assessing of investigation outcomes
    • Engaging public bodies during investigations and/or after outcome of investigations; and Providing inputs for the accountability reports on referrals made.

    Integration  with  RABU’s - Secondary function

    • To pro-actively identify additional key risks relating to maladministration/ irregularities at auditees.
    • To develop & maintain a risk database per sector/ cluster in partnership with RABU’s thus contributing to sector reports.
    • Regular analysis of audit outcomes in order to influence RABU’s to conduct follow-ups and reporting to the auditee, thereby ensuring that key risks are addressed. Ensure on-going monitoring of this aspect.
    • Ensure on-going development of specialist skills in BU, and transfer of specialised skills to RABU’s.
    • Streamline of audit processes by using data analysis and exception reports.
    • Ensure resources are available to assist during planning phase of audits to identify key risks/ maladministration/ irregularities.
    • Provide inputs on the quarterly key control assessment.
    • Assess high risk contracts and compliance thereof with relevant legislation, regulations and policies at auditees and the effect of irregularities on the audit report.

    SAP Functional Consultant ABAP

    Our external client is currently in a process in recruiting for a SAP ABAP -  Functional Consultant  (12 Months Contract) to  Support of SAP modules through delivery of expert consulting services and solutions. This role uses consulting skills, business knowledge, and SAP solution expertise to effectively integrate SAP technology into the business environment.

    Responsibilities 

    • Responsible primarily for providing ABAP support on operational issues.
    • Working across all countries and all business areas.
    • Act as the technical expert, ensuring quick turnaround in identifying application issues and providing timely solutions.
    • Transform business function requirements into technical program specifications to code, test and debug programs.
    • Develop, code, document and execute unit tests, systems, integration and acceptance tests and testing tools for functions of high complexity.
    • Perform performance tuning to improve performance over multiple functions
    • Engage other technical team members in the design, delivery, and deployment of solutions.
    • Ensure integration system activities including monitoring the technical architecture (particularly scalability, availability and archiving) meet all SLA's.
    • Manage operational support, performing work during change windows as well as providing on call support as required by the team.
    • Undertake performance-tuning activities for SAP integration activities.
    • Provide consulting services on new and existing initiatives.
    • Contribution to solution development as required by the function
    • Support the implementation of new SAP products in the organisation and ensure knowledge transfer to users
    • Close cooperation with the teams at group level regarding knowledge-sharing and business development for specific expert topics across Africa.

    Job Knowledge, Skills & Experiences

    • Degree in information technology or relevant qualification

    • Minimum of 8 years of ABAP experience

    • Strong object orientation experience

    • SAP Fiori development experience is required (1 year)

    • Gateway development

    • HANA Exposure

    • Strong analytical skills and ability to write technical specifications

    • Experience in working with Oil & Gas client, preferably Oil Downstream (Fuel Retail), HCP or Java experience as well as the ability to write functional specifications.

    • ABAP Reports, Classical Reports, dialog programming, module pool programming and ALV

    • ABAP Dictionary

    • Performance tuning

    • ABAP OO Programming

    • Creation of complex transactions

    • Dynamic Programming, RTTS concepts

    • Data Migration

    • Debugging and enhancement

    • Experience in SAP Solution Manager

    • Experience in ticketing tool such as HPALM

    • Ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables at the same time.

    • Must be able to work independently as well as a team player and can manage own workload

    • Know-how of project and consulting business practices

    • Strong organizational skills and able to collaborate with the business

    • Conceptual understanding of  SAP ILM-based archiving with good understanding of the features to manage live data archiving and legacy decommissioning
