    Millwright - Qpro Feeds: Vrede

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    We are looking for a qualified Millwright to join our team in Vrede. The incumbent will be responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of electrical, electronic and mechanical machinery and equipment in the feed mill. Preventative maintenance as well as meaningful reporting on breakdowns and equipment output will also be strong focus.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Qualified Millwright (N3 at minimum)
    • Valid Trade Certificate: Millwright issued by QCTO and or an accredited institution (SETA)
    • Sound knowledge of the OHS Act
    • At least 3-years proven work experience in the FMCG environment.
    • Wireman's licence will be advantageous
    • The ability to read electrical drawings
    • Computer literacy in Windows as well as programming of PLC's and related electronics
    • PLC as well as VSD experience will be advantageous (preferably Allen Bradley).
    • Familiar with high-voltage connections
    • Willingness to work shifts as well as standby duty

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Install, maintain, repair, test and commission electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment and systems at the plant.
    • Work on electrical transmission- and distribution equipment.

    Job Description

    The purpose of this role is to control raw material & finished goods stock levels and manage stock movement. The continuous monitoring of stock levels (raw materials, additives and finished goods) and liaison with internal- and external suppliers to ensure the timeous delivery of raw materials, keeping in mind lead times, will be the focus of this position.
    Qualifications and Experience

    • Grade 12 (NQF4)
    • At least 2-years proven work experience within the FMCG environment.
    • Animal Feed mill experience will be advantageous.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Reconciliation of monthly stock counts with NAV, and reporting there on
    • Planning, organizing and supervising of month end stock counts.
    • Compiling recons on a weekly/monthly basis for stock movements.
    • Follow up on stock differences on a daily basis to minimise financial losses
    • Daily reconciliation of actual stock and stock on NAV to identify discrepancies
