Job Description

The Product Specialist will be responsible for the selling of cutting edge products with regards to Precision farming whilst also giving advice to client pertaining to the best products that are currently available.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or NQF 4
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification
• 5 - 8 Years experience within a similar role is essential
• Proven knowledge of the following brands/ products: Case (Sprayers, Magnum Range, Steiger Range and Combines)
• Knowledge and experience in the following systems: ISOBUS, Raven, Dicky John, Est Tools
• Passion for Precision Farming
• Experience in guidance systems (GPS)

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Effectively sell and market Specialist Products within the Precision Farming field
• Give sound advice to clients regarding systems, products and implementation
• Grow VKB's Precision Farming department
• Installation and programming of Specialist Products (tractors, combines and other agricultural equipment) on client's farms to ensure effective use and application
• Manage inventory to ensure product quality and availability
• Ensure that all systems, documentation and procedures are correct 
• Ensure that policies and procedures are complies with legislation  
• Facilitation and coordination of human resource function within the relevant department 
• Stay abreast on new technologies, trends and market information regarding Precision Farming
• Continuous training of relevant department pertaining to new technologies, trends and market information
• Assist clients (farmers) with the management of their farms
• Collect and interpret data to give relevant feedback and advice to clients
