    Despatch Controller (Exports) - Lilianton

    Job Description    

    Despatch

    • Ensure that stock being despatched is packed according to export packaging standards and instructions
    • Ensure that palletised product is shrink-wrapped and packed according to laid-down procedures
    • Verify the correct stock has been picked and placed
    • Before releasing the product for removal from the premises and signing the delivery note, a standard dangerous goods check list must be completed and must ensure that all relevant documentation has accompanied the export order
    • To check to ensure that product is packed and load in such a manner so as to avoid cross contamination
    • To ensure that containers are packed, loaded and sealed in a safe manner as per packing specifications

    Receipt of Product from Production

    • Offload receipts from Production and ensure that no stock from Production is offloaded without the authority of the Export Despatch Controller
    • To ensure the accurate recording of job cards
    • Identify and report any quality issues
    • To ensure that finished product is placed in the correct racks, so as to avoid cross contamination of product
    • Ensure that the FIFO system is maintained

    Housekeeping

    • To ensure that all stock is stored in the correct manner in line with the agreed procedures

    Returns/ Credit Notes

    • Validate returned product and check returns

    Returns to Plants

    • Report any damaged goods that need to be returned to the rework stores/warehouse for rework

    Receipt of Product from Third Party Suppliers

    • Check stock and on occasion, receipt goods directly into Syspro

    General

    • To prepare, co-ordinate and participate in stocktakes
    • To prepare and assist with the reconciliation of variances post stocktakes for all export warehouses
    • Required to conform to relevant SHEQ rules and regulations as per company policy
    • Day to day document control

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Minimum educational requirement Grade 12
    • A diploma or certificate in logistics, supply chain or transport economics would be advantageous.
    • Minimum of 3-4 year’s relevant experience in logistics, distribution, production or warehousing as a Despatch Controller
    • Must be able to drive a Forklift as well as Reach Truck, be medically fit to drive a Forklift/Reach Truck and be in possession of a valid Forklift/Reach Truck driver’s license.

    Magazine Driver - eMalahleni

    Job Description    

    • Ensure correct orders are loaded as listed on the generated declaration of dangerous goods document by magazine master.
    • Ensure that drip trays are used all the time when transferring any means of product to avoid soil erosion and water pollution,that spilled product is collected to plastic bags and disposed as per company standard.
    • Assist magazine master with stock replenishing.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering OTIF simultaneously building AECI’s good image to the customers.
    • Ensure loading of explosives is in accordance with Explosives Act and Regulations.
    • Ensure that monthly checks on magazine fire extinguisher is carried out and signed for inspection.
    • Maintaining the good housekeeping of Magazine area and maintaining the AECI standard procedures and policies.

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Grade 12
    • Possession of a valid Magazine Masters’ Certificate.
    • Basic management skills.
    • Valid Code C1 (10) drivers’ licence.
    • The applicants must be able to obtain a Red Ticket and a PrDP.
    • Computer literacy – Excel and Word progressing to using SAPR3.
    • Basic stock control or similar experience would be a recommendation.
    • Must be able to obtain First Aid and Fire Fighting Certificates.

    MMU Operator - eMalahleni

    Job Description    

    • Managing and operating all aspects of a mobile manufacturing unit (MMU) in order to meet the customer requirements with the standards and procedures as defined by AECI
    • Carry out regular inspections in terms of SABS and World Class on fixed plant and MMU to identify non-conformances and institute preventative measures as well as to achieve continuous improvement.
    • Assist in eliminating all sources of waste and controlling of operating costs to within the budgeted parameters.
    • Assist in ensuring that the region delivers on financial requirements as agreed within the annual budget.
    • Assist in closing or stemming of charged holes.
    • Complete minor maintenance on MMU when required.
    • Ensure Quality products are supplied.
    • To maintain vehicle records in the MMU’s.
    • To ensure MMU’s are submitted for services according to maintenance schedules.
    • To ensure monthly maintenance is carried out according to World Class standard.
    • To ensure MMU is kept clean at all times.
    • To assist FSS in ensuring MMU licensing and roadworthiness are always up to date.

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Grade 12 or equivalent.
    • Valid Code EC Drivers Licence is essential
    • The applicants must be able to obtain a Red Ticket and a PrDP.
    • Mechanical aptitude.
    • Must be able to pass psychomotor assessment.

    Tax Specialist – South Africa

    Job Description    

    • Responsible for all tax-reporting and accounting-related aspects, ensuring compliance with AECI Group requirements on tax.
    • Ensures compliance with all tax laws and regulations, liaises with tax authorities and consultants on tax-related matters, supports proper reporting for applicable taxes under IFRS, and optimizes responsible tax planning.
    • Ensures timely and accurate filing of all relevant direct tax returns.
    • Supports finance and other business areas with information and advice regarding all tax matters, redirecting or escalating requests.
    • Ensure timely and accurate submission of Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual tax submissions to SARS.
    • Executes tax policy, compliance, documentation & implements tax initiatives.
    • Prepares tax records, reports, and other related materials in compliance with tax laws and regulations.
    • Assist the SA Tax Manager to manage tax audits and queries, payments, and periodic statutory filings.
    • Coordinate tax reviews with internal and external auditors.

    • Assist with supporting the AECI Group and Group Tax agenda on strategic projects and tax (accounting) automation implementation agenda relating to your regional entities.

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Matric / Grade 12.
    • BCom (Accounting), BCom (Tax or Accounting Honors), or CA/(SA)
    • Relevant postgraduate qualification in Tax.
    • A Higher Diploma in Tax or Mcom Tax will be advantageous.
    • Minimum 3 - 5 years of tax experience post-tax articles.
    • Previous experience dealing with the following is essential:
    • Tax treaty interpretations.
    • Preparation of tax computations and tax returns.
    • Previous working experience in the international market would be advantageous.
