    Professional Nurse Speciality; Oncology

    Requirements :

    • A Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/ degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse.
    • Registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse and current registration.
    • A post-basic nursing qualification with duration of at least 1 year, accredited with the SANC in one of the specialties stated above.
    • Grade 1: A minimum of 4 years appropriate/ recognizable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.

    Operational Manager (Phc)

    Requirements :

    • Basic qualification accredited with SANC in terms of Government Notice R425 (Degree or Diploma in Nursing).
    • Post basic qualification in terms of Government Notice R48 with a duration of at least 1 year in Curative Skills in Primary Health Care (Clinical Nursing Science, Health Assessment, Treatment and Care) accredited with the SANC. Current registration with South African Nursing Council is essential. An additional qualification in Nursing Administration/Management will be an added advantage.

    Medical Specialist - Sessionals (Radiology)

    Requirements :

    • Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as a specialist Radiologist. FCRad (Diag) SA; Current registration with HPCSA. Good communication skills.     Duties :

    • The incumbent will be responsible to interview, investigate, diagnose, and oversee the treatment of patient related administrative duties, participating in all activities of the discipline in relation to teaching and research, participating in departmental audit activates, preparing and writing of reports, liaison and communication services and community liaison.

    • Attendance of relevant administrative meeting like multi-disciplinary team meetings, near miss meeting and completing MEDICO Legal Documents timeously (e.g., Death certificate) is required.

    • Reduce medical litigation by exercising good clinical ethos.
    • Implement and monitor adherence to National Core Standards (norms and standards).
    • Performance of practical procedures relevant to the care of patients. Participation in departmental meetings, journal clubs, case presentations and lectures.

    • Rendering of after-hour (night, weekend, and public holiday) duties to provide continuous uninterrupted care of patients.
    • Rotation to both Helen Joseph Hospital and Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital is required.
    • The post is a joint appointment with the University, requiring registrar and undergraduate teaching and research supervision.
