    Currency Fees Officer

    Description

    Process Applications

    • Receive application package and evaluate the package for completeness.
    • The package should specify the design Standards and airworthiness requirements according to which the aircraft type was certified.
    • Draw specific aircraft file record and ascertain any outstanding documentation and information, pertinent to application.
    • Engages with owner, Aircraft Maintenance Organisation concerning outstanding information, documentation, inspection reports and applicable fees. 
    • Develop annual oversight plans and safety promotion plans.

    Certificates

    • When satisfied that the relevant requirements are met, will issue the C of A.
    • Forward completed certificate for checking, authorisation and signature.
    • Contact applicant to arrange forwarding or collection of certificates.

    Records

    • Maintain and update all databases affecting currency fees (i.e. Great Plains, Aircraft Register), Certificates of Airworthiness, payments and aircraft files.

    Administrative/Coordination 

    • Conduct any administrative and/or coordination function as may be allocated by management from time to time.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12

    Trainee Inspector Pans-Ops/Cartography x2

    OVERALL, PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • To train in the oversight of instrument flight procedures and aeronautical cartography as per ICAO SARPS.
    • To train in the validation and approval (where necessary design) of instrument flight procedures and aeronautical charts.
    • To train in the oversight of instrument flight procedure design and aeronautical cartography organisations as per ICAO SARPS.

    Oversight – Instrument Flight Procedures and Aeronautical Cartography organisations

    • Participate in the inspection, auditing and certification of procedure design organisations and aeronautical chart service providers.
    • Participate in monitoring the compliance of certified procedure design organisation and aeronautical chart service providers as per ICAO SARPS, SA-CARs and CATS.
    • Participate in external compliance obligations that the SACAA is subjected to

    Validation – Instrument Flight Procedures and Aeronautical Cartography

    • Be trained in validating and approving instrument flight procedures and aeronautical charts submitted by certified Procedure Design organisations and aeronautical chart service providers as per ICAO SARPS, SA-CARs and CATS.
    • Be trained in validating and maintaining information for publication in AIP SUPs, AICs and the AIP.
    • Be trained in verifying, validating, approving and certifying aeronautical information printed on the South African WAC charts.

    Design Instrument Flight Procedures

    • Be trained in designing Instrument Flight Procedures aeronautical charts as per ICAO SARPS, SA-CARs and CATS.

    Regulation Development and Review

    • Participate in the development and review of local regulations and technical standards in line with ICAO SARPS.
    • Participate in providing input and recommendations to the SACAA, CARCOM, NASCOM and external clients.
    • Participate in the development and review the technical guidance material utilised to guide procedure design organisations and aeronautical chart service providers.

    Research

    • Conduct research and benchmark the standards utilised to certify procedure design organisations and aeronautical chart service providers
    • Conduct research and provide input into the development of specific proposals for standards to be applied in the design of flight procedures, aeronautical charts and airspace planning.

    Liaison and Consultation

    • Participate in all safety initiatives in the PANS-OPS section.
    • Be trained in liaising with certified procedure design organisations and aeronautical chart service providers, on behalf of SACAA
    • Be an observer in activities of relevant ICAO regional structure and local workgroups (e.g. meetings, symposiums, etc.) on behalf of SACAA

    Requirements

    EDUCATION (FORMAL QUALIFICATION REQUIRED)

    MINIMUM

    • Grade 12
    • A pilot qualification with an IF rating and/or an ATC/ATSO qualification

    IDEAL

    • Completion of a PANS-OPS Basic course, Safety Management System course, State Safety Programme course

    EXPERIENCE

    • 5 Years - Qualified Pilot with an IF rating and/ or Qualified ATC/ ATSO

    Contact Centre Trainee

    Overall, Purpose of the Job

    • To provide an end-to-end customer service to the SACAA clients. 
    • To improve the customer experience and customer satisfaction index.

    Contact Centre

    •  Answer phones to respond to all inquiries made by SACAA clients. Must be able to handle 50- 70 incoming calls per day.
    •  Track all customer inquiries in the approved systems until queries are resolved. 
    •  Ensure that all customer queries are addressed as per agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA). 
    •  Liaison with clients to identify any information and service requirements - Provide first line information.
    •  Professionally respond to requests from both external and internal customers.
    •  Evaluate customer satisfaction through approved tools and systems.

    Quality Control

    •  Record all queries and comply with all procedures which relate to the contact centre.  
    •  Adhere to the approved quality assurance measurements.
    •  Adhere to the approved SLA’s

    Customer Satisfaction

    •  Project and maintain a satisfactory image when dealing with clients. 
    •  Ensure that all customer queries are addressed as per agreed SLA’s and that they are logged on the approved CRM system.
    •  Sent customer survey after every interaction 

    Administration

    •  Keep accurate records of discussions or correspondence with customers
    •  Communicate and coordinate with internal departments 
    •  Analyse statistics or other data as required by management

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements 

    • Grade 12 and post Matric certificate in Business Studies; Consumer Studies; Management Studies; Marketing or equivalent qualification

    Specialist: CSI, Branding and Events

    Overall, Purpose of the Job

    To develop a Corporate Social Investment strategy and manage the corporate events calendar in order to promote a strong awareness of the SACAA brand.  

    Manage the Corporate Social Investment (CSI) Strategy

    • Conduct research to provide inputs to the CSI Strategy.
    • Develop a CSI Strategy, ensuring adherence to the CSI and sponsorship policy and procedure
    • Develop comprehensive CSI strategy/programmes
    • Implement, monitor and track the delivery of a CSI programme in support of the Communications Strategy
    • Manage sponsorship requests and provide recommendation reports

    Develop event management procedures and acceptable standards

    • Develop and manage the annual corporate calendar and update regularly
    • Provide guidance and council to ensure that events meet the organisation's acceptable standards and procedures.
    • Ensure events meet the intended objectives through monitoring and evaluation

    Manage major special event projects/campaigns aimed at promoting the organisational brand  

    • Manage the planning and execution of all major events

    Manage brand promotion strategy

    • Develop an annual advertising strategy to increase organisational brand awareness as well as to promoting organisational strategy objectives
    • Identify key trade shows and exhibitions to promote the SACAA brand and expand networking opportunities for the organisation’s personnel.
    • Identify and propose brand-building opportunities 
    • Assist in development and refinement of uniform graphic standards and visual brand strategies. 
    • Ensure brand communication for areas of responsibility are consistent with the company and brand positioning.
    • Provide design and direction for collateral, web, and other visual communications media for the company.
    • Manage visual media library of photos and video footage
    • Help promote uniformity and consistency of brand.
    • Manage the procurement of branding material 

    Requirements

    Education

    Minimum

    • 3-year National Diploma in Communications/Public Relations/Marketing or other relevant qualification at an NQF level 6.

    Ideal

    • Degree or Post Graduate qualification in Communications / Public Relations/Marketing or other relevant qualification at an NQF level 7.

    Experience

    • 5-7 Years in Communication and Marketing
    • 5-7 Years in Events Management or Branding
