    Area Marketer (Inland Gauteng) - Roodepoort

    • As an Area Marketer, you will be required to be an effective marketer to area customers by maintaining regular contact and providing relevant solutions based on a clear understanding of the customers’ business, the macro environment, and Vector products.

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Customer Engagement:

    Millwright - Polokwane

    The purpose of the role is to ensure that plant maintenance is done effectively and accurately in such a way to ensure the minimum downtime.

    Minimum Requirements   

    • Must have a N4 or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering plus trade test.

    Senior Process Leader - Centurion

    • RCL FOODS is looking for an incumbent to oversee: Production Planning, Operations Management, SHERQ, Cost Control, Team Supervision and Administration and Reporting.

    Minimum Requirements   

    • National Diploma/ Tertiary Qualification in Production Management/ Industrial Engineering
    • Min 2 years’ relevant experience, including supervision, in a unionized FMCG food manufacturing plant

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Production Planning

    • Obtain and communicate daily production plan, ensure man load at full capacity, request additional resources if needed

    Operations Management

    • Follow assigned production plan, prioritize work to ensure deadlines are met and alert Processing Manager of deviations
    • Conduct required checks for start-up, during shift and sign off and ensure relevant data is recorded correctly

    Maintenance Manager - Pretoria West

    • RCL Foods entrusts the Maintenance Manager to manage with a dedicated focus the day-to-day maintenance operation in area of responsibility with his team of foreman and artisans. The role includes prioritizing, scheduling and allocation of maintenance tasks to different disciplines of the engineering department i.e., electrical or mechanical artisans. The maintenance manager is responsible for controlling of the approved maintenance budget. This role has a legal GMR2.7 responsibility to oversee all aspects of Engineering on the main site and Oil Plant.

    • A Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

    Maintenance Project planning

    • Insure that all maintenance project work in the plants is carried out and completed to the highest level of trade-man quality and to safe food requirements.
    • Manage outside maintenance contractors to ensure the integrity of the maintenance team and carry out corrective action when required.
    • Department Management – Loss control, asset management, spares utilization and stock holding, all administrative duties,
    • Conduct weekly maintenance project meetings to insure all disciplines are aligned and that capex targets dates met in view of the year planner.
    • Preparation of all capitalized major maintenance and capital request motivations and supporting documentation.
    • Creating and keeping of an archive on each maintenance project for future references.
    • Handle all maintenance related investigations around IOD’s to establish all the facts to ensure prevention where possible and to address unacceptable or dangerous behavior that can lead to injuries.

    Maintenance

    • Develop and implement an effective planned preventative maintenance system for the plants as well as oversee major repairs of breakdowns thus minimising R&M costs at Pretoria West Milling.
    • Ensure all buildings and accessories are utilised into risk, security, safety, health, HACCP AND ISO22000, 14000, 18000, FSSC 22 000.
    • Ensure all electrical equipment and installations are maintained or installed in accordance with statutory requirements and business needs.
    • Oversee repairs and maintenance on all other utilities.
    • Optimise efficiencies and utilisation of assets with the objective of minimising the costs per unit.
    • Drive sustainable maintenance practices throughout the plant.
    • Manage maintenance team and ensure that planned maintenance programmes are implemented to enable optimal asset utilisation.
    • Ensure that maintenance practices and procurement processes are aligned to business standards.
    • Management of all planned maintenance, preventative schedules, work requests and break downs, with support from planner and Maintenance Manager.

    Operational Engineering Management

    • Drive the daily / weekly maintenance planning process for the plant – prioritising, scheduling and allocation of tasks to different discipline of the engineering department, with the assistance of the planner.
    • Drive and delivery the agreed strategy to reduce plant down time and improve efficiencies of machines and lines.
    • Responsible for health and safety with regards to all equipment and plant to ensure a safe environment to operate and work on for all staff.
    • Maintain the integrity of the maintenance team and carry out corrective action if and when required.
    • Ensure that the required focus is given to all audit requirements and findings.
    • Maintain discipline and standards in area of responsibility.

    Repairs and Renovations

    • Coordinates and inspects major contract work on the electrical, mechanical and other related systems.

    Provide Leadership

    • Leads a team of artisans towards meeting the plant engineering strategy and targets – through regular communication and utilisation of full organisational talent management tool set.
    • Deliver on agreed succession plans and development the generation of leaders and specialists, overseeing engineering development programmes and on the job training.

    Management of Safety Health Environment and Quality (SHEQ)

    • Guides the maintenance team to ensure that all legislative standards are achieved, and timeous action is taken where required to ensure that there are no areas of noncompliance.
    • Follows up on requirements for compliance ensuring that it is continuously maintained and adhered to.
    • Measure and manage sustainability practices within area of responsibility.
    • Suggest amendments to policies and practices within operational area of responsibility with the processing engineering manager to ensure that these are kept up to date and are aligned with company objectives and standards.

    Safety and Security

    • Ensures engineering staff follow safety rules and regulations as per organisation’s safety plan.
    • Ensure that security access points to the premises and BMS system is in good working condition.
    • Reporting theft and dangers on the premises.
    • Ensures safety equipment is in good working order e.g. fire extinguishers.
    • Ensure that security is maintained and escalate any security concerns to the processing engineering and security manager.

    Financial Management

    • Manage costs to ensure lowest cost production and the optimal utilisation of assets.
    • Report to Engineering Manager on a weekly basis on actual KPI’s versus budget and work with team to address and areas of non-conformance or concern proactively and timeously.
    • Report on and manage all input costs and manage any over or underspend appropriately to ensure that issues are escalated before significant financial loss occurs.
    • Authorises plant engineering expenses within level of authority and monitor spending activity within teams to ensure compliance to financial and ethical standards.
    • Implements and encourages cost saving initiatives within the team where these do not impact on long term business sustainability.
    • Work with the milling and technical teams to allocating spend to areas of high priority within the plant.
    • Provide input into CAPEX documentation considering return on investment, resourcing, and sustainability requirements.
    • Manage suppliers and contracts in collaboration with the procurement team to ensure agreed service levels are met, escalate areas of concern to the Operations Executive where necessary.
    • Manage maintenance contractors daily to ensure that correct standards of work are delivered and agreed delivery timelines maintained.

    Instrumentation Technician - Pretoria West

    • RCL FOODS is looking for an incumbent to be responsible for the implementation of new electrical machinery and equipment, and upgrade electrical machinery and equipment on a software and hardware level. Perform maintenance of all electrical machinery, equipment, processes and software applications according to SANS codes for a hazardous site on a higher level than electricians. Give a higher level of support to electrical staff and solve higher-level problems.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • National N6 Diploma and Trade test or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Process Instrumentation)
    • Minimum 5 - 8 years of working experience in the following areas:
    • General factory maintenance
    • Reading and interpretation of electrical drawings
    • Wide range of instrumentation experience 
    • Knowledge of SCADA systems
    • Knowledge of PLC programming experience
    • Experience in PLC, VSD Drives, Fans, Process Optimization, and Compressors would be highly advantageous
    • Previous experience as an instrumentation technician in the milling industry will be highly advantageous
    • Implementation of small projects
    • Advanced computer literacy (MS Word/Excel/Outlook)
    • Minimum 5 years of Siemens PLC S7 (1500, 1200) and TIA portal experience.

    • Disseminate best practices in all instrumentation aspects.
    • System troubleshooting and hardware problems resolution, calibrating and maintaining all equipment within the control solution.
    • Assist with onsite project commissioning and ensuring adherence to RCL FOODS standards and change procedures. 
    • Ensure cost-effective and efficient maintenance of all electrical, instrumentation, computer, network, and PLC equipment.
    • Ensure that all breakdowns are attended to in a cost-effective manner.
