    Technical Division Manager

    Job Description

    • Our client promotes and supports science and technology, and they are situated in Johannesburg They are seeking the expertise of a Technical Division Manager with electrical knowledge to manage all technical staff and associated activities of various departments, including the mechanical workshop, electronic workshop, software development, operators of the accelerators, and any other closely related activity.

    Responsibilities:

    • Technical management, design, and repairs of accelerator control electronics
    • Development of relevant software.
    • Maintenance of all electronics sub-systems within laboratory.
    • Design, develop and implement new electronics equipment required by users of the laboratory.
    • Transfer skills and mentor junior members of division.
    • Operational philosophies and software specifications for all accelerator related facilities.
    • Decision making and supervision of division’s tasks, through managing all responsible staff members. Allocation of division’s resources to meet user needs.
    • Ensuring that all / any audit findings highlighted in the department are addressed / resolved and any deviations from policies and procedures to be clearly documented.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Sc / B.Eng / B.Tech (Electronic Engineering) or equivalent degree.
    • 10 years’ experience in electronics, software design, development, and maintenance.
    • At least 3 years leadership experience in a technical environment at junior management level
    • Experience in both analogue and digital electronics design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
    • Experience in laboratory instrumentation and control systems.
    • Some experience in software development.

    Contracts Administrator ( EPC/EPCM/EPS Project Execution)

    Job Description

    • The Contracts Administrator will be required to provide full contracts administration support for spares and project related execution and contribute to the development and resolution of commercial related issues. The incumbent will be responsible for commercial and contractual management of suppliers on a day-to-day basis. The incumbent will be required to draft contract documents, perform QS functions, supplier cost control, undertake various forms of commercial correspondence, manage contract amendments and assist with close out of supplier contracts.
    • In achieving these objectives, the Contracts Administrator will be required to work closely with the project Engineers, Project Managers, Contracts Managers as well as various applicable departments within the organisation.

    Qualification

    • Tertiary legal qualification and relevant industry experience such as LLB (or similar) and/or QS/ commercial engineering qualifications.
    • Knowledge of construction contract suites such as FIDIC, NEC, JBCC and GCC.
    • Dispute resolution experience is preferred.
    • Other relevant post graduate qualifications albeit technical, management or business related could be advantageous.
    • Relevant industry experience of 5 to 10 years.
    • Knowledge and experience of project management principles.
    • Prior experience of supplier contract maintenance and contract close outs.
    • Prior commercial experience regarding EPC/EPCM/EPS project execution.
    • Experience in negotiating commercial terms with suppliers.
    • Proficiency in drafting of bespoke agreements, NDA’s and credit applications.

    Fire Detection Scada Specialist

    Environmental Officer

    Job Description

    • The purpose of this role is to take responsibility for the coordination, administration and coaching to successfully manage the ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management system for the manufacturing sites, to ensure compliance to environmental legislative requirements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Continuous monitoring of updates in legislation which might impact procedures, policies, permits and licensing. Communicate to Environmental Manager
    • Monitor compliance status via plant inspections, legal registers, internal plant-based registers, validity of all permits and licensing as per legislation and regulatory ISO14001:2015 requirement.
    • Report risks, loading of environmental incidents / non-conformances on intelex.
    • Responsible for root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action.
    • Conduct Environmental risk assessments and implement necessary control measures.
    • Evaluate test results received from third party contractors in relation to our permit and licensing conditions and parameters. Reporting any deviations to Environmental Weekly monitoring of abstraction volumes to ensure we remain in allowed abstraction volumes as per water use license.

    Experience and Qualifications:

    • National Diploma in Environmental Management or equivalent
    • Approximately 3 - 5 years relevant experience in a food production environment with experience in developing and continuous compliance to ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management systems.
    • Minimum 2 years ISO 14001:2015 internal audit experience or exposure
    • Valid driver’s license
