    Technical Trainer (Hyundai Head Office)

    Specific Role Responsibilities

    Training and Development

    • Conduct Automotive trade theory training.
    • Facilitate learning according to predetermined lesson frameworks.
    • Engage learners in an interactive 360° learnin methodology.
    • Use of tactile learning methodologies through demonstrations and displays.
    • Use of leaning stimuli methods in the media and presentations on CDX and other.
    • Use of a variety of interactive assessments and CDX are used to determine competence.
    • Use of innovative and rational learning methodologies (Spontaneous and “Out of the box” approach).
    • Ensure learning is aligned to the assessments and learners best prepared for assessments;
    • Ensure discipline and respect in the learning environment is maintained
    • Due to the nature of the company`s business you may be asked to work overtime from time to time on reasonable notice. Notwithstanding the aforesaid, in the event of an emergency, you will be expected to work on emergency without notice.
    • Due to the structure of our working hours on a Friday, you are expected to work every second Saturday. MIBCO stipulates that employees must work a 45 hour week before overtime is paid.

    Automotive practical training

    • Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety rules and regulations
    • Facilitate learning according to predetermined lesson frameworks
    • Engage learners in an interactive 360° learning methodology
    • Use of tactile learning methodologies through demonstrations and displays
    • Facilitator is constantly in support of learners during practical engagements
    • Ensure learners are given ample opportunity to engage practically and practice under constant supervision.
    • Use of a variety of interactive assessments are used to determine reflexive competence
    • Use of innovative and rational learning methodologies (Spontaneous and “Out of the box” approach)
    • Learning is aligned to the assessments and learners best prepared for assessments
    • Discipline and respect in the learning environment is maintained

    Administration of training

    • Training registers are completed daily
    • All assessments, reports and learning activities are signed off weekly
    • All learner files are completed and submitted on AMS or to the administration office at the end of each week
    • Conduct level and trade test preparation

    Note: The same standards are applied as in “Automotive trade theory training”, “Automotive practical training" and  “Administration of training”, the same processes are applied.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Grade 12 or equivalent NTC trade qualification
    • Computer literate (Microsoft Office applications)
    • Qualified Automotive artisan
    • Preferably accredited facilitator, assessor and moderator
    • 5 years’ experience as a qualified automotive journeyman
    • 5 years’ experience as an ETDP
    • 3 years in a management role and/or leadership role
    • Preferably some type of basic leadership qualification
    • In possession of a valid code 08 drivers’ license
    • Willing to Travel
