Description

• Support a safe service area for the cash in transit operation and mitigation of risk
•  Evaluate routes, service points and escape routes for emergency purposes.
•  Make recommendations / suggestions to direct reports in terms of operational procedures with regards to possible risks identified and intelligence.
•  Report serious and high risk concerns detected to line manager.
•  Report and compile a full situation report with details pertaining incident to direct reports.
•  Debrief SAPS and External Investigations regarding the crime scene and report all findings and submit subsequent scene report to line manager.
•  Provide armed response to SBV Cash Centre alarms in compliance with standby duties. Report incidents whereby assistance is needed during office and after hours from any cash centre or CIT team.
•  Escalate and report all incidents to line manager
•  Respond to the accident scene where cash loss and or officers’ lives are in danger during office and after hours.
•  File first respondent report on all relevant information according to SBV standards. • Confirm that all procedures are followed and adhered to in regards to crew and vehicle inspections on a daily basis.
•  Comply with logistics vehicle and crew inspections. Responsible for on the road Run Inspections and Risk Assessments
•  Confirm that all procedures are followed and adhered to according to SBV policies and procedures.
•  Report all run inspection and risk assessment incidents to line manager Certify that risk assessments are done on all requested new client sites.
•  Verify that centre assessments are done and forwarded to the relevant manager for action.
•  Perform adhoc ATM balancing and assist with surprise balancing and cash counts during seasonal peak, and on an adhoc basis.
•  Report any discrepancies to the line manager Liaise with other agencies to gather correct intelligence
•  Establish working relationships with SAPS, Metro Police, SABRIC, Security companies, Bank personnel other institutions for intelligence / support purposes.
•  Liaise with SBV Logistics team members, other SBV employees and Tactical Officers from other regions to enhance their performance.
•  Gather information from potential informers – car guards, other security officers and recruiting of informers.
•  Gather information from SBV employees and the recruiting of internal agents. Internal disciplinary processes
•  Report on team members not complying with policies and procedures as per prescribed processes and where necessary apply remedial action.
•  Provide assistance in the form of witness testimony during disciplinary hearings. Ad Hoc instructions and Projects
•  Complete ad hoc based instructions as required. Assist / interact and complete instructions with regards to specific project activities when necessary. Proper Utilisation Of Equipment/ Items Issued
•  Take proper care & Safe Guarding of Equipment (maintenance, neatness, usage)

Requirements

• 1 Year PO experience or 9 Months ASPO experience or 6 months SPO Experience
•  Pass prescribed TSU Training Course • Knowledge and understanding of general banking practices, products and operations Special requirements
•  Extensive traveling nationally – sometimes on short notice
•  Unexpected and sometimes long working hours
•  Dangerous conditions
•  24 hours, 7 days a week on standby
