    Specialist Financial Accountant

    Develop, implement and manage a fit-for-purpose framework to measure and manage the Accounting balance sheet verifications of the organization. Support the business through the provision of accurate, relevant and timely financial information which aids in better planning, evaluating and controlling of the organization.

    Key Objectives:

    Develop, Implement and manage a fit-for-purpose framework to measure and manage the accounting balance sheet verifications of the organization.

    • Apply and maintain hands on management of accounting principles and procedures.
    • Analyze financial information and prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements.
    • Ensure that appropriate accounting control procedures are maintained and put in place to minimize business risk through sensitivity analysis on operational performance and demonstrate financial and business acumen in supporting decision making in the business.
    • Assist with quarterly and year end reporting requirements including preparation of documentation to support the Management accounts and Annual Financial Statements.
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly budget vs. actual results reports with an accurate narrative on variances.
    • Assist with External and Internal audit queries and provide the relevant required information in a timely manner.
    • Define,implement and test internal controls to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
    • Develop and manage financial systems/policies.
    • Design and implement sound financial models for new business initiatives.
    • Provide actual vs budget/forecast variance analysis on revenue and expenses.
    • Prepare or collate reconciliations for each balance sheet line item using external verification.
    • Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
    • Analyse business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
    • Completion and Submission of Tax returns. Liaise with SARS on a monthly basis.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Honour’s degree in Accounting.
    • Preferred newly qualified CA
    • 3 – 5 years’ experience in financial accounting.
