    • Maintain daily stock cover in line with the group or buyer requirements.

    Sales & Inventory Level Monitoring

    • Conduct weekly business analysis, ensure proper inventory level by consistently reviewing days stock cover, sell through and trend.
    • Ensure frequent updating of parameter to replenishment system
    • Roll out new replenishment products, suggest opportunities for expansion as well as reduction of non-performing products.
    • Take pro-active measures to minimise out of stocks.
    • Analyse store and warehouse flows to predict potential out of stocks and determine the best actions needed to remedy to optimize availability and maximise inventory efficiency.
    • Analyse past and current business trends and provide recommendations in order to improve opportunities; gain alignment on recommendations and implement findings.

     Promotions and Analysis:

    • Identify issues and maximize data availability (SAP, BI) to make recommendations that will benefit both our stores and DC (Distribution Centres).
    • Monitor and control promotion ordering.
    • Track promotions by analysing promotion post-mortems and formulate recommendation to improve processes for the next activity.
    • Conduct Independent analysis of all key metrics and relevant business inputs.

    Stakeholder Liaison:

    • Ensure to communicate with all suppliers on all issues as they appear.
    • Ensure optimal communication with suppliers.
    • Communicate and coordinate between Marketing, Sales, Customer Service and Operations during shortfalls.
    • Engage in team meetings to communicate on company initiatives status and execution.
    • Collaborate with internal supply planning team on future inventory needs.

    General Administration:

    • Manage and attend to HEAT calls as they come in on a daily basis.
    • Maintain units of measure and master data that affects ordering and F&R.
    • Check supplier in fill rates weekly.
    • Adhere to all company and business unit deadlines
    • Maintain absolute confidentiality covering all company information

    Online Content Coordinator - Midrand

    Minimum Requirements:

    Essential:

    • Grade 12 / Matric
    • Relevant Industry experience

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Update new and existing content within the Dis-Chem Online Store and other ecommerce platforms through the Backend System.
    • Update current and new online product descriptions.
    • Keep store information and services up to date within the ecommerce platforms.
    • Maintain a consistent look and feel throughout all online properties.
    • Copy edit and proof-read all web content.
    • Track and report on all site metrics.
    • Carry out quality assurance checks across all content housed on the website.
    • Carry out User Experience checks within the Online Store and ecommerce platforms.
    • Ensure listed products display on the website, that all links (urls) are working, updating to the database.
    • Listing and de-listing of products within the online store.
    • Coordinate special online promotions and online exclusive deals.
    • Ensure promotional offers calculate correctly.

    • Ensure that the online store continuously runs smoothly, must always respond to emails as well as answer phone messages from both their clients and suppliers in 24 hours or less.
    • Assist with Social Media team with product urls.
    • Assist with Product look ups.
    • Assist with customer care queries.
    • Check emailer to ensure they are correct, and links (urls) are working.
    • Work with Senior Online Graphics designer to ensure that all emailers are accurate.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Essential:

    • Grade 12 / Matric
    • Up to 6 months’ retail experience
    • Computer literate – MS Office
    • Willing and able to work retail hours

    Job Description:

    • Restock merchandise as needed to ensure maximum sales
    • Ensure delivered stock/stock pulled from the storeroom, is stored and packed in the correct space timeously
    • Ensure stock on shelves has not reached sell-by date
    • Ensure the full range of products is on the shelves at all times
    • Facilitate rotation of stock on a regular, FIFO basis
    • Report low stock levels, out-of-stock items, damaged stock and expired stock to management
    • Assist with counting of stock files and general stocktaking
    • Adhere to Dis-Chem’s operating standards, store layout and planograms
    • Ensure boxes are flattened after unpacking stock, and taken to the designated area
