Senior Specialist Data and Cadence Management at Vodafone Global Enterprise

Role Purpose/Business Unit:

• As a Data Delivery and Cadence Senior Specialist, the role is pivotal in ensuring timely and high-quality data delivery by fostering collaboration among Vodacom Business, Finance, Technology, Data Engineering, and Data Governance teams. The primary responsibility involves spearheading data modelling delivery on cloud platforms across the Vodacom Group of Companies. This includes establishing a common information model and reporting layers to facilitate the implementation of data solutions. The Senior Specialist also offers support for ad-hoc business requests for data and report analysis, particularly when data is not readily available in central data environments and complex modelling is necessary.
• Furthermore, the role encompasses managing the reporting cadence across the Vodacom Group to ensure the consistent, accurate, and relevant reporting and analysis of reports. Overall, this role plays a critical part in ensuring that Vodacom Group's data-related operations are efficient, effective, and meet the varying business needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Transformation: Lead change management process for reporting through cloud platforms and ensure stakeholders across the organisation are well-informed and engaged.
• Data solutions: Partner with BI teams to design and build data models and reports that optimise data collection efficiency, support analytical solutions, and leverage visualisation tools.
• Actionable insights: Automate delivery of insights from data lakes and models to support commercial action (incl. pricing & commissions).
• Agile delivery: Ensure rapid and accurate execution and maintenance of commercial reports.
• Collaboration: Partner with OpCo teams to seek opportunities to up-index across product lines.
• Pricing and Commission Modelling: Provide insights & recommendations to ensure pricing and commission structures are both profitable for the business and attractive to sales teams.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• 5-8 years’ experience in data management, working with large complex datasets
• Experience in managing large data teams across multiple projects
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Technology, Engineering or related field
• Excellent knowledge of SQL and working with relational databases
• Experience of working on Cloud technologies with ability to easily scale skills in cloud
• Comfortable working with Agile as part of a high-performance diverse team across three geographies

• Proven track record of working on complex data modelling projects, building clear strategy and driving business transformation programmes.
• In-depth experience in pricing and commission modelling.
• Advanced knowledge of Business Intelligence infrastructure and tooling.
• Proven people leadership and strong negotiation and influencing skill.
• Ability to balance multiple concurrent projects across multiple geographies. 
• A self-motivated analyst with experience in interpreting and analysing complex & huge volume of data.
• Detailed understanding of the telecommunications industry.
• Outstanding analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
