    Senior Legal Advisor : Commercial Transactions

    Dynamics of the Role
    TransUnion is currently recruiting for a dynamic Senior Legal Advisor to provide group-wide specialist, relevant and quality commercial legal advice and services to all TransUnion businesses. To identify long term risk exposure to support the business effort in driving growth and meeting revenue targets, whilst managing and minimising potential business and regulatory risks by partnering with the sales teams to negotiate, draft and/or review commercial agreements.

    What You’ll Bring

    • We are looking for a minimum LLB Degree (or similar) with at least eight years post-qualification experience and a minimum of 4-5 years transactional experience in a managed services, digital, consulting, systems integration, technology-based and/or outsourcing areas in roles within fast-paced industries.
    • Strong commercial and legal experience within a highly regulated / services industry.

    Experience in the following areas of law is necessary:

    • Experienced in commercial and corporate law and good working knowledge of, IP, data privacy and other ancillary legislation.
    • Experience in negotiating and drafting technology-based, managed services, software licensing, outsourcing and/or consulting agreements with a good understanding of contracting/risk issues. 
    • Ability to handle multiple complex tasks and priorities continuously, with the agility to move between a wide range of matters and proven ability to efficiently manage a large volume of transactions independently. 
    • Critical strategic thinking skills, ability to rapidly assess issues and associated risk and ability to make critical decisions in a fast paced environment are essential.
    • Confidence and strong interpersonal skills to be able to liaise and provide support and advice to senior leadership as well within a team environment, with peers and management across all levels of the organisation.
    • Accomplished negotiator with an understanding of principle-based negotiation strategy and tactics including the ability to present pragmatic alternatives with proposed solutions.
    • Strong written, verbal and negotiating skills.
    • Proficient in MS Office.
    • This position may require travel.
