    Senior Data Analyst & Office Administrator

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

    • Carrying out data gathering, data analysis and data reporting;
    • Assisting in conducting institutional and market research (Qualitative & Quantitative);
    • Extracting institutional data from PowerHEDA;
    • Providing information (ad hoc requests) to University stakeholders;
    • Providing overall office administration including financial and administrative support;
    • Booking conferences, visits, trips and accommodation and travel logistics for IRA staff; 
    • Developing and maintaining the IRA intranet and internet websites;
    • Ensuring budget control and the procurement and payment of goods and services. 

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in either Statistics, Data science, Mathematical science or any other related research field with at a minimum of 3 years of experience in the following:
    • Higher education environment;
    • Data analysis;
    • Microsoft Office package.

    • Data analysis;
    • Higher education environment exposure;
    • Computer knowledge and skills;
    • Research skills;
    • Institutional and Market research;
    • Reporting dashboard development;
    • Office Administrative Support;
    • Financial Administrative Support; 
    • Computer literacy for data manipulation, interpretation and presentation;
    • Microsoft Office package;
    • Strong attention to detail;
    • Planning and Organizational skills;
    • Project management skills;
    • Presentation skills;
    • Accountability.  

    ADDED ADVANTAGES AND PREFERENCES: 

    • A postgraduate qualification in a related research field with a minimum of 1 year of experience in the following: 
    • Project management.
