JOB DESCRIPTION

Main Task and Responsibility:

• To assist Management in improving of business performance through managing and tracking information and system / process performance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Certificate: Grade 12.
• Diploma: Information Technology Management. (Required)
• Diploma: Engineering. (Industrial) (Alternative)
• Certificate: Management. (Advantageous)
• Valid Code B / EB.
• Dover B Symbol.

Experience and Requirements:

• 3 Years Data analysis and system management Experience (Required)
• 1 Year Project Management experience (Recommended)
• 1 year continuous Improvement experience (Recommended)
• 1 Year System integration experience (Recommended)
• 1 year New system development / implementation experience ( Recommended)

Knowledge and Skills:

• Advanced Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
• Support and participate in sub-functional change management to drive transformation and optimisation. Drawing from own experience or vocational knowledge, identify and recommend initiatives aimed at eliminating waste, improved productivity and reduce operating costs within scope.
• Implement compliance requirements. Communicate compliance changes.
• Optimise reporting functionality of various systems, databases and other sources through use of available tools.
• Compile data and reports related to plant/mining production functions as required to address client needs.
• Assist with data extraction and analysis.
• Develop and enhance systems on an ongoing basis to ensure systems are optimised at all times and meet customer requirements.
• Define production system requirements as per applicable input sources.
• Conduct system audits in conjunction with module owner to determine system utilisation and performance.
• Recommend system enhancements to line manager for approval.
• Monitor and report on system utilisation and health.
• Provide ongoing user support on all production system modules.
• Coordinate and facilitate user training to enable users to optimally utilise system functionalities.
• Develop system training guides in line with system/policy changes and ensure knowledge transfer as soon as possible.
• Communicate system changes effectively and efficiently to ensure system changes are implemented timely.
• Ensure system interface between various production systems and data portals to ensure full system integration and optimisation.
• Streamline and optimise information flow between systems to ensure integration of data overall alignment.
• Ensure all infrastructure and security requirements are adhered to at all times.
• Actively develop indirect reports through training, coaching, mentoring and offer advice and guidance to ensure ongoing development and meeting of current and future skill requirements.
• Adhere to SHERQ, legal standards and procedures and timeously and accurately report SHERQ related observations and incidents.
