Mine Overseer - Kuruman at Hire Resolve

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Underground Blasting Certificate
• Mine Overseer's Certificate of Competency
• 8 years of experience in an underground mining environment
• 2-5 years experience as a Mine Overseer

Responsibilities:

• Obtain, check, and refine information. Collate and submit reports. Run data exception reports and take corrective action. Conduct document control spot checks
• Identify recurring problems and derive creative solutions involving team members. Recognize and
• reward team members efforts
• Implement compliance requirements. Communicate compliance changes.
• Plan, direct and assess Quality Management within sub-function and recommend remedial actions
• where necessary to ensure adherence to TQM principles
• Promote and assure adherence to safety, health, and environmental procedures. Identify unsafe and hazardous situations
• Diagnose incidents and accidents by completing root cause analyses and taking corrective action
• Conduct risk assessments. Stop work in unsafe areas. Ensure safety programs are executed
• Provide input into functional planning. Interpret functional plans and develop sub-functional plans
• Ensure the operational plan is implemented
• Manage the efficient and effective utilization of resources.
• Optimise systems and processes continuously to ensure production efficiency targets and operational plans are met
• Optimise the core operational internal processes and internal supply chain and resolve operational conflicts
