    Global Banking and Capital Markets Sector Brand, Marketing and Communications Lead

    The opportunity

    In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing the marketing plan for one of EY’s largest global sectors. Working closely with BMC and Sector Leadership you will allign global business priorities and client solutions into integrated marketing campaigns that build our brand and reputation with C-Suite across the industry. Our Banking & Capital Markets sector is the largest sector for EY Globally, one that drives exponential growth for EY and interacts with a high proportion of our global priority accounts.

    You will devise and execute on a broad range of market facing programs, including the promotion of multi service line client solutions, developing thought leadership campaigns, managing large scale events and sponsorships, and coordinating amplification tactics across multi-media channels (paid, owned and earned). You will also be responsible for driving the brand strategy that drives consistency in client experiences around our central financial services value proposition.

    This is a senior team leader role that manages a small number of direct reports. You will also need to lead through influence and collaboration with multiple regions and countries to drive global execution and advocate for the Banking & Capital Markets business on a regular basis. You must have the business and commercial acumen to advise senior business stakeholders on strategic marketing execution, and work collaboratively with other functions such as internal communications, media and PR, external agencies, knowledge and research, strategy, finance and business operations. The role reports directly to Global Financial Services BMC Leader, as well as having a strong and autonomous relationship with the Global Banking & Capital Markets Sector Leader.

    Your Key Responsibilities

    • Sector and external buyer understanding: Deep understanding of the Banking & Capital Markets industry and target c-suite buyer groups. Able to synthesize information from others to support EY in addressing the key issues in the sector.
    • Proactively develops insight into internal and/or external buyer and target audience needs and attitudes, understands how they impact on behaviour and decision making
    • Business understanding: Understanding EYs’ business; able to effectively navigate the EY and BMC matrix organization to access, inform and engage the right people at the right time. Demonstrates general business acumen, skills and abilities concerning global business fundamentals, business models, ethics, competitive analysis and cross-cultural/geographical sensitivities
    • Marketing strategy and alignment: Able to develop integrated Sector marketing strategy to deliver on EY and BMC priorities; aligning marketing with EYs’ Banking & Capital Markets sector growth, brand and revenue goals. Able to advise senior stakeholders on marketing and communications concepts
    • Brand strategy: Align with and strengthen EY brand by defining, supporting and enabling a consistent brand experience for internal and external stakeholders
    • Marketing program & plan development: Able to develop outcomes-focused marketing programs and tactical plans. Development of project plans to engage stakeholders and manage execution effectively, including objectives, budget and resource requirements, key messages, channels, dependencies, milestones and outcome measurement. Adaptable and able to proactively address program challenges
    • Relationship management: Able to be a point of integration; connecting all facets of the business when initiating, developing and deploying global marketing programs and initiatives. Communicates and builds relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, manages stakeholder expectations and collaborates with colleagues in other functions/teams within and outside of BMC
    • Continuous Improvement: Able to apply insights gained from measurement of outcomes to drive improvement in BMC strategy, plans and activities

    To qualify for the role you must have

    • Extensive experience in brand, marketing, communications, publishing and channels
    • Experience managing complex global programs with proven and demonstrable results
    • Experience managing and working as part of diverse, virtual high-performing teams
    • Proven ability to influence and build collaborative relationships with senior-level stakeholders

    Ideally, you’ll also have

    • Proven track-record of challenging views and perspectives, influencing and leading change at a leadership level
    • Professional services experience helpful
    • Good understanding of the business, market and regulatory issues facing the Banking & Capital Markets Industry or the broader financial services industry
