Consultant: Software Certification at SITA SOC (Ltd)

Purpose of the job 
To certify software’s against the set standards in accordance with ICT standards and the enterprise architecture for Government. 

Key Responsibility Area 

• Manage, develop and implement Architectural and Governance mechanisms for the section to improve interoperability of government systems and quality of services and deliverables. 
• Manage software certification projects spanning multiple environments to ensure that it is successfully delivered. 
• Manage, design and develop software certification material such as frameworks, tool-kits, processes and procedures. 
• Manage and execute distribution of software certification material. 
• Manage and execute product and partner certification in accordance with relevant SITA governance mechanisms. 

Qualifications and Experience 

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in an Information Technology field or equivalent at NQF 6. 
• Certification: ISO27000, COBIT, TOGAF, ISACA certification will be an added advantage. 

Experience:

• 6-7 years' experience in the ICT field, including e.g. IT Governance, IT Planning, systems design / procurement, and implementation of integrated solutions across multiple hardware and software platforms with management and operational responsibility in a large corporate/public sector organisation, including 3-5 years’ experience in business analysis, business process management and business process engineering/reengineering; 
• 3-5 years’ experience in IT Quality Management; 
• 3-4 years’ experience in project management; and 3-4 years’ experience in Software Certification.
