    Coastal Sales Manager - TBR

    Position Description

    Job Purpose

    • We are looking for a Coastal Sales Manager – TBR , reporting directly to the Executive Manager - TBR. This is a local role, based in Cape Town, Western Cape.
    • You will be responsible for managing and growing market share across the coastal region, by maintaining regular contact with most senior representatives of the key accounts within the area of responsibility, negotiating prices, national promotions and/or services and promoting the company interests, services & products ensuring that maximum sales opportunities are derived from the servicing branches. The key is to ensure that the customers are served according to the Bridgestone’s practices and standards. Building of lasting customer relationships makes a big part of this role.
    • The role has a responsibility to agree on terms and conditions of trade with key accounts and maintaining an excellent communication link with exporters, meeting with them regularly to understand their strategy and contribute towards providing reasonable solutions for existing and prospective clients. Ability to engage at all levels within the business with strong emphasis at Business Executive level.

    Responsibilities

    Sales Management and Achievement of Targets

    • Achieving sales targets and growing market share
    • Achieve turnover and gross profit target, by Key Account
    • Developing and growing the brand, sales, channels and penetration rates
    • Securing existing and establishing new channels and partners
    • Ensure smooth running of internal systems and beneficial working relationships with internal suppliers, particularly the LSCM, Operations and Finance teams
    • Developing and implementing an updated export and channel strategy
    • Distributor management and seeking new distribution opportunities and partners for growth
    • New business development, planning, budgeting, forecasting and implementation
    • Developing strategic channel partnerships to jointly access new markets
    • Management of all customer relationships, including ordering, shipping, delivery, price and terms negotiations, and all aspects of service delivery
    • Planning and carrying out marketing activities to agreed budgets, sales, volume values, product mix and time scale

    Financial & General Administration

    • Preparation and management of regions sales budget
    • Reviewing and analysing monthly management accounts
    • Sales forecasting and pipeline management
    • Ensure that profitable margins are in place for the full spectrum of products offered
    • Assist with debt collection
    • Continually review all aspects of the key accounts with new innovative ideas and solutions

    Required Capabilities

    • Self-starter/initiative/creativity/innovation
    • Strategic thinking, problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
    • Proficiency in relationship building, networking, persuasion and influential skills
    • Good technical, business and fleet acumen.
    • Excellent verbal, written communication and negotiation skills
    • Willing to travel extensively

    Qualifications And Experience

    • Diploma – Business Management / Sales Marketing
    • Grade 12
    • Min 5 years of related sales experience within tyre / automotive industry
    • Commercially astute with a proven track record of success
    • Comprehensive tyre knowledge in TBR and Commercial Tyres.
    • Computer literacy
    • Valid driver’s license
