    Pricing Specialist

    Position Description

    Job Purpose

    • Bridgestone is looking for a Pricing Specialist to join the Pricing Team, which is responsible to define the pricing strategy for South Africa and give the necessary guidelines and support to regions for successful execution, as well looks for continue improvement in pricing process and governance.
    • Given the cross-functional participation involved, the person will create and maintain relationships with different stakeholders (functions, teams, BU’s, regions and countries) in the organization.
    • The person maintains high ethical standards, using only appropriate methods consistent with Bridgestone values.
    • The Pricing Specialist will report to the Pricing Manager as part of the Pricing Team.

    Responsibilities

    • According to pricing strategy, build South African List price and prepare changes to achieve the company mix, profit and market share targets
    • Define price corridor and follow inter-channel price structure, review pricing conditions (Discounts & Rebates) proposed by region sales and pricing teams to ensure their consistency with price policy and corridors
    • Act as a partner for the regions given responsibility ; work together and challenge all the price condition settings, give-take packages, negotiations, promotions, and tactical campaigns planned to be given to customers and ensure their approvals
    • Coordinate pricing for customers tender and negotiations
    • Define the right pricing strategy for new products ; ensure the alignment and buy- in with regions, take part in Cross Functional teams for new product launches, being single contact for setting prices and building business case for new products
    • Ensure follow up on monthly financial results and price variance achievements, clarify and report any deviations from target
    • Analyze and model various pricing data (sell in/sell on/sell out) and prepare analysis or business cases for sales teams when necessary to give insights to enable better decision making
    • Perform ad hoc projects as needed to meet near-term and long-term pricing objectives
    • Management of transfer price-list from Bridgestone Global Suppliers.
    • Serve as internal subject matter expert on price data acquisition / research methodologies, analysis, reporting, and cooperate with Market Intelligence
    • Supports leadership team members in understanding what the data means and what actions to take

    Requirements

    • Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Finance
    • Min 5 years of relevant experience. Interest and knowledge on automotive and mobility trends, market dynamics of tire industry is plus
    • Fluent in English; excellent written and verbal communication skills with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and familiar working with SAP
    • High analytical skills and passion for data and numbers with strong connection to sales , business and market environment

    Coastal Sales Manager - TBR

    Position Description

    Job Purpose

    • We are looking for a Coastal Sales Manager – TBR , reporting directly to the Executive Manager - TBR. This is a local role, based in Cape Town, Western Cape.
    • You will be responsible for managing and growing market share across the coastal region, by maintaining regular contact with most senior representatives of the key accounts within the area of responsibility, negotiating prices, national promotions and/or services and promoting the company interests, services & products ensuring that maximum sales opportunities are derived from the servicing branches. The key is to ensure that the customers are served according to the Bridgestone’s practices and standards. Building of lasting customer relationships makes a big part of this role.

    Responsibilities

    Sales Management and Achievement of Targets

    Head of Finance - Retail

    Position Description
    Job Purpose

    • We are looking for a Head of Finance to manage all financial tasks of our Retail Business and ensure we use capital and resources optimally. This role will ultimately be responsible for maintaining the business ‘s financial health and increasing profitability in the long run.
    • The Head of Finance will support the Retail MD in achieving our Company’s targets, always ensuring that all relevant financial requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner and in compliance with Southern Africa legal/tax regulations, as well as Bridgestone Group guidelines and regulations..

    Responsibilities

    • Act as key partner of the Retail Managing Director in the achievement of the Company’s mid term plan target, strategy and policy.
    • Identify sources of financial risks, cost and profit opportunities and closely cooperate with other non-financial directors / managers to develop and implement appropriate business priorities and actions.
    • Responsible for the coordination, production and reporting of the Actual, Budget and Mid Term Plan financial results to the Managing Director and the Executive Team
    • Perform analysis, provide explanation of variances and make relevant recommendations supporting Top Management for effective decision making, always aiming to achieve Company’s objectives.
    • OPEX, monitor and actively working with the different functions to manage spending in line with the company performance

    Position Description

    Job Purpose

    • We are looking for a Key Account Manager – Small & Medium OTR Tyres – reporting directly to the Sales & Technical Manager Small & Medium OTR. This is a Local role, based in Midrand.
    • You will be responsible for creating a long-term and trusting relationship with our customers. The Key Accounts Managers role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing customers and actively seek new sales opportunities within the Small and Medium OTR Market by providing specialized services, analyses and solution based recommendations.

    Responsibilities
    Sales

    • To achieve 100% of sales budget units

    Manufacturing Technician - Specialist

    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    Job purpose

    • To assist in ensuring plant availability and uptime by attending to equipment breakdown. Initiate and manage continuous improvement projects.
    • To perform various skilled, journey-level tasks in installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of electronic control systems and electrical systems. Electrical Technicians modify electrical prototypes in order to correct operational deviations under the general direction of an Electrical Engineer.

    Main responsibilities

    Provide technical support and assistance to production and engineering

    • Provide support to production by attending to breakdowns
    • Troubleshooting and faultfinding on electrical equipment of breakdowns
    • Complete job cards for every job done in accordance to Bridgestone standards
    • Participate and carry out root cause analysis for every breakdown and documenting corrective actions
    • Order Spares required to fix equipment breakdowns long term
    • Comply to all safety regulations as stipulated in the occupational health and safety act
    • Develop the technical skills of the electricians by training  and mentoring on execution of basic electrical tasks
    • Identify when external contractor/vendor is needed, and work in collaboration with contractor/vendor to complete work
    • Identify, Initiate and manage small Continuous Improvement projects (Kaizen) and support engineering projects on site

    Carry out Preventive and Predictive Maintenance

    • Provide preventive and predictive maintenance of the electrical systems
    • Suggesting and implement continuous improvement ideas to improve machine reliability
    • Complete daily work orders as assigned and update team with daily work reports outlining progress and new issues

    Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments

    • Follow electrical practice when doing a job, always keeping safety in mind.

    Install and maintain electrical control systems and solid state equipment

    Stock Controller

    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    Job Purpose

    • We are looking for a Stock Controller reporting directly to the Production Foreman. This is a Local role, based in Brits.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure quantity, sizes & order numbers are correct notifies management of short deliveries and discrepancies on registers/invoices marking of shelves neat storage of tyres and completion of tasks with a high level of accuracy.
    • Stock variances immediately reported;
    • Ensuring stock orders are correct;
    • Follow up on outstanding orders;
    • Conduct stock takes according to company policy;
    • Ensuring that stock is only released on stock-outs;
    • Ensure that old casings are received back;
    • Dispatch of tyres correctly and on time; handover of incorrect deliveries; correct storage of stock tyres;
    • Comparison of invoices and tyres for correctness
    • Stock to be kept in a clean and safe manner, including keeping the storeroom as tidy as possible.
    • Assist with capturing of job tickets
    • Ensure tyres that are sent to the factory are clearly marked with the Job Ticket Number it was issued with.
    • Follow up on outstanding job tickets
    • Ensure customer Tyres gets delivered as soon as possible
    • Maintain and update the stock/scrap register;
    • Correct procedure followed regarding scrapping of tyres;
    • Correct marking of customer details.
    • Checking & stamping of documentation;
    • Daily completion of daily stock takes sheets.

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12
    • Valid Code 08 Drivers License & PDP
