Assistant Sommelier (Stellenbosch) at MPRTC Recruitment

• Seeking an experienced Assistant Sommelier with a passion for wine and exceptional guest service skills. The Assistant Sommelier will be responsible for recommending wines that complement the menu and enhance the dining experience.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 and certification from the Cape Wine Academy or WSET Level 1.
• Ideally, 1-2 years of experience as a wine tutor.
• Extensive knowledge of wines, including grape varieties, regions, harvest times, climates, soils, and winemaking processes, with the ability to communicate this to guests.
• Passionate about wine and the hospitality industry.
• Strong product knowledge.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Well-presented, enthusiastic, flexible, and accountable.
