Assistant : Planner (Umkomaas) at Sappi

We’re looking for an experienced Assistant Planner to assist with engineering planning administration regarding shutdowns, plant modifications, and maintenance as well as updating the SAP plant maintenance system.

As an Assistant Planner, you will be responsible for:

• Management of PM and PS notifications on the SAP system
• Print Scheduled work orders for the execution of scheduled and/or planned maintenance tasks
• Confirm works orders and solving of PAPO statuses
• Administer Master data information as well as infrastructure management
• Create a safe work environment by identifying and managing risks associated with a task to be performed and maintaining high levels of housekeeping
• Maintain legal requirements, document control, and record keeping
• Assist with the management of plant and infrastructure maintenance costs (within budget)
• Create purchase requisitions and update service acceptance to ensure vendors are paid timeously

    What are we looking for?

• Grade 12
• 1-2 years relevant experience within a heavy industry environment
• Working knowledge of SAP Plant maintenance
