About The Role

To provide accounting and related services to a portfolio of clients.

Essential Skills And Experience

• 3 - 5 years experience in an accounting/ bookkeeping environment
• Required Qualifications
• Degree or Diploma an advantage
• Desirable Skills Or Attributes
• Good knowledge of Pastel, Excel and Word
• High degree of speed and accuracy
• Strong interpersonal skillsto be able to interact with clients directly
• Ability to work independently on a number of clients at a time/ multitasking
• Good time management and billing recovery
• Drivers licence and own vehicle an advantage
• Knowledge of taxation and trusts
• Good knowledge of caseware

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train junior bookkeepers
• Processing from source documents to Pastel
• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts
• Prepare VAT and statutory returns
• Perform general ledger control account reconciliation and year end journal entries
• Prepare and analyse financial statements within budgets
• Report writing , i.e., recommendations to management and correspondence
