    Technical Team Lead - POS

    Job description

    Purpose and Objectives

    The purpose of the role is to ensure our in-store systems, including POS, Back-Office & Pharmacy, are appropriately supported and maintained in order to meet business objectives

    • Ensure uptime of all systems
    • Ensure agreed SLA’s are managed for external vendors
    • Manage external vendors for development and support
    • Manage software and system configuration across the store estate
    • Co-ordinate and take accountability of all software builds and rollouts
    • Provide technical expertise and direction for the POS team
    • Assign personnel to tasks and directs their activities, balancing resource allocations to meet business demand
    • Ensure that development methodologies and project disciplines are observed
    • Manage the budget for the area of control, including licencing for products and services
    • Develop Service Level Agreements for external vendors
    • Responsible for staffing, growth and development of team members
    • Responsible for performance management of team

    Requirements

    • POS knowledge
    • SDLC knowledge
    • Project Management
    • Payment config & associated processes
    • Manage internal & external partners and relationships inside and outside
    • Understanding of in-store environments
    • General management skills
    • Facilitation skills
    • Proven analysis skills
    • Negotiation and conflict management skills
    • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills
    • 5 – 7 years IT experience
    • Proven experience of root-cause analysis
    • Project management experience of complex projects
    • Experience in managing projects

    Education

    Bachelors degree in Computer Science / Information Systems or other relevant IT qualification
