    Chief Commercial Officer

    Job description

    Job summary

    • As the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), you will be responsible for the commercial strategy and development of the organization. The CCO will also build a commercialization infrastructure and organization to drive market adoption of the company’s products and be responsible for revenue growth within the organization. The CCO will take a global perspective on market opportunities and lead in the assessment and prioritization of geographic market segments.
    • It involves activities relating to marketing, sales, service offering and customer service to drive business growth and client acquisition.
    • As the Commercial Officer, you will report directly to the CEO.
    • The CCO will need to make sure that all functions of the organization are aligned to meet its strategic commercial objectives.

    Duties to perform:

    • Handle special assignments, do in-depth analysis, follow up on various files and work closely in concert with all members of the Senior Management Team.
    • Responsible for the implementation and achievement of his/her Business Area’s mission, goals and financial objectives. Develop long-term plans and budgets for the department and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance. Ensure that systems and procedures necessary to the smooth operation of the department are implemented.
    • Develop the strategic direction and plans for the company regarding all commercial functions including sales, marketing, business development and customer support/customer experience.
    • Develop and maintain initiatives to achieve an up to date competitive analysis portfolio.
    • Develop and monitor quality metrics to ensure outstanding service and customer support.
    • Identify and develop new market opportunities for the company’s product portfolio.
    • Deliver strategic leadership for defining the commercial path to growth and profitability of the company and the establishment of an effective growth process and infrastructure.
    • Develop collaborative working relationships within the organization in pursuit of the of the company’s overall business goals.
    • Business Development: Develop a strategy and provide leadership for enterprise-wide business development opportunities. Originate and manage business development opportunities that are consistent with the company’s strategy for revenue growth.
    • Provide general legal advice and assistance to the company.
    • Ensure that the company complies with the all relevant laws and regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure that the corporate structural requirements (imposed by the relevant shareholder’s agreements, incorporation documents and the like) are adhered to.
    • Proper management of the legal department function in general (including proper record keeping and filing of signed contracts).

    Requirements:

    • Experienced in a commercial function at a senior level.
    • At least 15 years of experience in an overall commercial/business function having held an executive role.

    • Experience at working in a “performance based” environment to foster it within the team.
    • Accuracy – Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
    • Problem solving – Brings a problem-solving mind-set to any challenging situation.
    • Technical Aptitude – Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.

    • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of business plans and strategies.
