    Sales Manager: Group Risk & Umbrella Funds

    Job description

    Key Purpose:

    • Manage and grow Franchises in DGRS thereby increasing Group risk and Umbrella Fund business.
    • Areas of responsibility may include but are not limited to
    • To manage and grow Franchises in DGRS thereby increasing Group risk and Umbrella Fund business
    • Responsible for obtaining profitable results through a sales team (Franchises) by recruiting, developing the team through motivation, mentoring, skills development and product knowledge development.
    • Responsible for monitoring the performance of the sales team by establishing a system of reports and communications involving sales reports, sales meetings, one on ones and Personal development plan (PDP).
    • Responsible for meeting the sales targets of Discovery through effective planning and budgeting. Allocating targets to franchises
    • Map potential clients and generate leads for the sales team. Allocate clients and sales channel to different Francizes, evaluate performance and initiate annual panel redesign.
    • Nurture and maintain effective relationships with all sales channels to increase support.
    • Manage all operations within Region.
    • Control the income and expenses of the Region to create and sustain profitability.
    • Work with head office personnel to support Discovery’s and DGRS’s goals.
    • Keep up-to-date with competitor product and service offering and industry developments.
    • Participate in proactive sales and marketing initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance requirements are met across all Franchises.
    • Enhance and Protect the Discovery Brand.
    • Ensure franchises reach profitability within a certain given period

    Education and Experience

    • Matric or equivalent
    • Minimum: NQF5 plus RE5
    • Beneficial: Relevant degree, Insurance qualifications (e.g. CFP) Experience
    • 5 years’ relevant experience, with a proven track record of success;
    • Sound knowledge of Group benefits
    • A thorough understanding of financial planning and compliance principles • Management experience
