    Quality Systems Engineer

    Role & Responsibilities:

    • Maintenance and improvement of Quality Management System in line with IATF 16949:2016 and Customer Specific Requirements
    • Site Administrator for Compliant Pro and Ease system
    • Ensure document control within the CompliantPro System
    • Maintain and co-ordinate Audit Schedules for System, Product, Customer, Third Party and Special Process Audits
    • Conduct Internal Systems Audits for QMS according to the requirements of IATF 16949:2016 and Customer Specific Requirements
    • Coordinate and Execute Third Party audits
    • Timeous submission of certification / surveillance audit corrective actions, on the IATF CARA system
    • Log and Issue all Corrective Actions resulting from audits, via the CompliantPro System
    • Coordinate and drive all corrective actions resulting from audits
    • Conduct effectiveness review of all corrective action close-outs
    • Maintain and coordinate the Manufacturing Process Audits via the Ease System
    • Raise IT Tickets for the Quality Department, CompliantPro and Ease systems, when required
    • Maintain and co-ordinate various actions plans (e.g. Ford Q1 Action Plan, RFMEA, AB-MSA, etc.)
    • Liaise with Ford STA on action plans relating to Ford Q1 Action Plan / RFMEA / AB-MSA
    • Update Ford Covisint Site, when required (e.g. Ford GSDB, Special Processes uploads, etc.)
    • Monthly update of the Dana Quality Dashboard.
    • Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports for quality objectives, key plant performance indicators, CAPA, etc.
    • Compilation of Annual Management Review
    • Raise PR for Quality Department in Purchase Requisition System.
    • Conduct plant wide training related to QMS / Quality Awareness
    • Conduct CompliantPro system training for new employees
    • Assist with vendor audits on request, and ensure formal record keeping and system update
    • Assist with Supplier / Customer PPAP on request, and ensure formal record keeping and system update

    Education & Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree or similar in Engineering or a related field
    • IATF 16949:2016 First and Second Party Auditor Certificate
    • Core Tools Certificate (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
    • 5+ Years experience working within Quality Management Systems
    • Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements (Ford / Toyota / Isuzu)
    • Knowledge of 8D Process and various step (i.e. D0 – D8)
    • Knowledge of the IATF CARA System.

    Supply Chain Specialist - Uitenhage

    Role & Responsibilities:

    Develop and implement a Sale, Inventory, and Operations Planning Process for all assigned Plants (SIOP)

    • Cross Functional reviews of customer demand (Market Intelligence and Customer Release)
    • Ensure long horizon forecast is extended to all suppliers (52 week Forecast)
    • Collect and Update Internal and External Capacity information (Plant Efficiency and Dana Committed capacity)
    • Develop and Execute Strategies and action plans to address gaps between Demand and Capacity (How to fulfill forecasted demand)

    Control & Reduce Logistics costs

    • Improve utilization of planned trucks (Weekly planning of next weeks required trucks)
    • Improve cube or weight utilization of inbound trailers
    • Reduce and minimize utilization of Premium trucks including team trucks (Major focus on reducing team trucks between Mexico & US)
    • Improve internal supply chain and materials flow between Dana plants (Utilize Value Stream Mapping)
    • Work in a cross functional team to optimize our freight and warehouse network, tying in forecast and order management logic

    Protection of Supply

    • Manage Dana Internal and External Escalation Process within Light Axle Plants (Daily Materials Manager Calls)
    • Develop a strong Materials and Logistics Team (Daily calls and interaction between plants)
    • Escalate potential supply issues to Purchasing if required
    • Allocate parts between Dana plants if required
    • Ensure suppliers are updating required information in the Supplier Portal
    • Manage all material alarms in One Network

    Inventory Management

    • Develop and Implement Standard Material Replenishment processes (Kanban and Min-Max etc….)
    • Implement Standard Inventory Forecasting and Planning tools
    • Recommend ERP parameter updates and develop standards

    SAP

    • Assessing existing IT infrastructure and recommending improvements.
    • Developing and configuring customized SAP solutions.
    • Writing scripts and programs to create user-friendly interfaces and enhanced functionalities.
    • Deploying SAP solutions and ensuring smooth system integration.
    • Troubleshooting and resolving issues to optimize performance.
    • Providing SAP system support and end-user training.
    • Performing rigorous documentation of SAP processes and presenting progress reports.
    • Preparing reports or delivering presentations
    • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
    • Keeping abreast of the latest SAP offerings, updates, and developments.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor Degree and experience in a Materials Management, logistics, and/or supply chain
    • Must have excellent computer skills and thorough knowledge of MRP, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
    • Understanding of Automotive industry
    • Must be detail oriented, proactive in anticipating requirements and able to work efficiently with minimal direction in a sometimes high pressure environment.
    • Committed to tasks and skilled at identifying and solving a variety of problems of broad scope and complexity with little to no supervision.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization.

    Materials Manager

    Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor Degree and experience in a Materials Management, logistics, and/or supply chain
    • Must have excellent computer skills and thorough knowledge of MRP, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    • Understanding of both the Automotive and Commercial Vehicle industry preferred.
    • Must be proficient in the use of eBusiness tools and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Experience in Assembly, Machining, and Forging Operations preferred.
    • Must be detail oriented, proactive in anticipating requirements and able to work efficiently with minimal direction in a sometimes high pressure environment.
    • Skilled in composing written correspondence and preparing presentations for senior management.
    • Successfully interacts with a dispersed leadership team and others across functions and sites.
    • Must be proactive, detail oriented and have excellent organization, planning and follow-through skills.
