    Technical Planner Global Grade 09

    Key Output

    • Planning and coordinating of repair, service, and maintenance jobs for a team of Service Artisans to comply with Caterpillar standards and Customer requirements.
    • Planning, prioritizing and initiation of jobs.
    • Assist with achievement of KPI’s.
    • Ability to apply Warranty policies and procedures.
    • Resolve internal and external customer queries.
    • Issuing of job instructions to and dispatch of Artisans.
    • Arrange appropriate transport.
    • Control returning of component stands.

    Qualification, Experience and Competencies

    • Grade 12.
    • Qualified Artisan. [Mechanic in relevant trade (e.g., Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic) with minimum 5 years post-apprentice/learnership experience).
    • Leadership Potential (part of DAP), Computer Literate (MS Office & SIS ET).
    • Diploma in project management added advantage.
    • Problem solving, Analysis and judgement, Numerical reasoning.

    Marc Fleet Maintenance Manager Level 3 Global Grade 13

    Key Output

    •  Establish a fleet performance process and team with clearly defined outputs and KPI's.
    •  Directly engage with support areas, Caterpillar and customers to develop and execute remedial plans.
    •  Manage and lead teams, including long term planning and parts support as well managing the execution of the condition monitoring processes.
    •  Monitor daily downtime schedules and MARC fleet performance KPI's.
    •  Conduct the relevant level of investigation that may lead to a change in process and the performance of the supporting areas such as BRC, Parts, SEENG, Caterpillar, Technology, Field Services, Procurement, Finances etc.
    •  Follow up and ensure actions are in place for PIP from Caterpillar and RCA investigations.
    •  Effective management of safety, health, environment, and quality risks
    •  Implementation and maintenance of equipment management processes and associated risk for Barloworld Equipment and our customers.

    Key Accountabilities

    •  Accountable to optimize the financial & operational performance of the MARC site through:
      •  Effective management of people
      •  Building customer relations
      •  Ensure contractual requirements are met
      •  Effective resources management.
    •  Accountable to fully understand and be familiar with the customers’ expectations, the MARC contractual commitments and expectations and the business plan (fiscal year and long term) requirements and targets.
    •  Accountable to review on an ongoing basis, the MARC site performance and taking remedial steps where and when required.
    •  Accountable to achieve the MARC site financial and fleet performance targets.
    •  Accountable to implement the maintenance and repair processes on site.
    •  Accountable to lead and oversee effective management of safety, health, environment and quality risks.
    •  Leads solution development and innovative efforts and ideas as identified and developed in conjunction with the Customer Service Team (CST) and regional BWE operations in order to meet customer needs.
    •  Prevent customer complaints and handle them in a timely and effective manner with the support from Site Managers.

    Qualification, Experience and Competencies

    •  Grade 12, Engineering degree / Diploma. FMP/LDP
    •  Recommended: GCC Mines and Works or working towards obtaining GCC, Diploma in project management.
    •  12-15 years of which 5 years are in the Management position.
    •  Site or operations management.
    •  Parts and Service systems knowledge.
    •  Computer literate (MS Office) and functional understanding of SAP system.
    •  Equipment Management. (MARC EMP)
    •  Track record in leading / managing people in a team-based & participative environment (experience in managing a service operation advantageous)
    •  Sound business and financial acumen
    •  Exposure to business planning / budgeting processes
    •  At least 5 years’ experience in mining or construction environment
    •  Hands-on experience with CRM software and account management systems.
    •  Understanding of the commercial aspects of the business
    •  Understanding of the internal and external functions of the business
    •  Influence and Negotiating
    •  Practical Execution Management (Planning, Leading, Organising and Monitoring)
    •  Problem Solving

    BBS Practitioner Global Grade 09

    Key Output

    •  Support the Operational Excellence team to achieve the Business Units BBS commitments
    •  Deliver the required BBS concepts training to various teams, as required, within a Business Unit
    •  Help identify the relevant collateral as supplied by the BBS Core team for communication activities
    •  Actively facilitate the drive for improvement in process metrics, targeted financial benefits and achieve company goals
    •  Support change management and the necessary guidance for the implementation of new/revised solutions
    •  Ensure BBS is operating as per standard within the area of responsibility which would include daily assistance with the management of the Process Control Boards at each worksite (Gemba)
    •  Help create an enabling environment and cultural change for the embedding of BBS
    •  Assist event team leaders in preparation to close out A3 processes
    •  Where applicable, assist with the preparation of the monthly Mission Control updates
    • Qualification, Experience and Competencies
    • Minimum Required Qualification:
    •  Trade test Certificate or NQF 4 qualification
    •  Successful completion of BBS Lean Awareness (BBS Green training or similar lean competency qualification)
    •  Valid Driver’s Licence

    Minimum Required Experience:

    •  Clear understanding of requirements for behaviour and technical Coaching / Facilitation
    •  Excellent verbal communication skills
    •  Participation in a Rapid Improvement Event (RIE’s)
    •  Demonstrated experience as a lean/continuous improvement
    •  Successful demonstration of project management/implementation
    •  Intermediate computer literacy (MS Office)
