    Resource Planner 1

    Job Description

    The resource planner is full time role and is responsible for the planning of all resources (partners to trainees) within the assurance business. This includes ensuring staff continuity year on year, proactively managing clashes, resolving these in good time, and communicating planning outcomes to managers / partners concerned. The resource planner is also responsible for collation of weekly reports, monitoring staff behavior, reporting on problems in the business and approving leave and overtime.

    Key roles and responsibilities:

    • Planning of client work on retain (12-month forward looking)
    • Creating New intake portfolios for a 12-month period
    • Monitoring core hours (SAICA requirement)
    • Reports for weekly meetings
    • Utilization
    • PVC (planned vs charged)
    • Escalation of issues to Resource Managers/HR Managers
    • Monitoring of unassigned staff & unassigned register
    • Planning of vac students at various times in the year
    • Planning of secondment staff from other countries
    • Tracking/Monitoring & Remedial Action on low/high forecasted utilization
    • Ensure diversity of teams (especially on key accounts)
    • Overtime approval
    • Leave approval and planning of leave on retain
