    Head of Legal - Fourways

    Qualifications

    • Matric or NQF Level 5
    • Degree in Law (LLB) or relevant qualification
    • Master’s degree / MBA or suitable post graduate degree will be an advantage
    • Admitted Attorney

    Experience

    • A minimum of 8, preferably 10, years’ experience in a senior role
    • Proven experience as Head of Legal at a JSE listed company will be an advantage
    • Experience with corporate governance and compliance

    Duties

    • Provide legal services and guidance to the organisation locally and internationally
    • Assist with client contracts, draft legal documents, and contracts
    • Provide guidance with regards labour matters and workplace disputes
    • Provide general legal advice pertaining to corporate decisions regarding growth, mergers and acquisitions
    • Manage various complex legal projects
    • Act as counsel on issues involving company compliance with complex governmental and regulatory standards
    • Review legal documentation and provides advice on appropriate action
    • Oversee legal matters requiring external legal assistance
    • Provide work leadership, functional advice, and training to less experienced attorneys and senior managers

    Qualifications

    • Advanced Degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Biochemistry, Agricultural Science, or related fields
    • Matric / Grade 12 

    Experience

    • Proven experience (5+ years) in Agricultural R&D
    • Research Management skills focusing on Biostimulant and chemical fertilizer development research.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team of researchers

    Scheduler - Sasolburg

    Qualifications

    • Grade 12 / Matric 

    Experience

    • Previous experience in a similar role
    • Knowledge of farm access roads in the broader Sasolburg and North West Area will be an advantage
    • Experience of Transport Operations will be an advantage
    • Experience with AX and Sizanani will be an advantage

    Duties

    • Scheduling of all finished products including liquid fertilizer, NH3, speciality products 
    • Receiving of all raw materials
    • Communicate with clients and marketing to format scheduling plan
    • Communicate the scheduling plan to production daily for production purposes
    • Contract Management for all liquid transport contractors
    • Managing and organizing of all transportation and logistics for deliveries of various products
    • Scheduling,  and archiving of all related documentation

    • Previous experience in a Blasting / Mining environment

    Duties

    • Risk assessment and Safe work declarations to be done with the blaster at the place of work before entering workplace as per client requirements   
    • Assisting the blaster for preparing the blast / charge-up area by meeting all the statutory, legal, client and BME requirements/standards/prescriptionsTogether with the Blaster, inspects the site to determine the target block and to plan the blasting process
    • Marks off the working area by erecting the prescribed barricading material as prescribed by the client
    • Required to map the holes to ensure that all the required holes correctly placed
    • Required to measure and check the depth of the holes, and to ensure that they are all correctly drilled within the prescribed parameters
    • In the event of detecting any deviations from prescriptions, responsible for behaving assertively and taking the necessary steps to rectify matters, e.g., by interacting and communicating to mine staff, drill contractor or the Foreman
    • On instruction from the Blaster, required to collect the correct accessories to carry out the blasting assignment successfully
    • Responsible to place all detonators and boosters at the collar of the hole to prepare for priming of the blast holes as per the blast plan issued by the mine
    • Responsible for priming the holes by carefully inserting detonators into boosters, attaching  weigh-down material to the primer, and lower this primer in the hole under the supervision of the blaster
