    Security Systems Installer

    About the role

    The Security Installation Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems and equipment. This includes working with various technologies such as CCTV, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and other related hardware and software. The engineer will ensure systems are functioning optimally and provide technical support to clients.

    The engineer will be required to work additional hours in line with client requirements. The role will also require travel both in South Africa and internationally.

    This role would suit an individual who has experience in CCURE, Lenel, or Genetec or has equivalent certifications with IMPRO level 2 and feels confident they can transition their skills. We will provide relevant training to the successful candidate.

    What you will do

    • Install and configure security systems including CCTV cameras, access control systems, alarm systems, and other security-related devices
    • Integrate security systems with existing networks and ensure proper connectivity and functionality
    • Perform routine maintenance checks and upgrades on security systems to ensure optimal performance
    • Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues in a timely manner
    • Respond to emergency repair requests and provide on-site support as needed
    • Provide technical support and training to clients on the operation and maintenance of security systems
    • Address customer inquiries and resolve technical problems promptly
    • Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs
    • Prepare detailed reports on system performance and any issues encountered
    • Ensure all installations and services comply with industry standards and regulations.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all installations and repairs.

    What we are looking for

    •  5+ years experience in a security installation role
    • Proficiency in installing and configuring CCTV, access control systems, and alarm systems.
    • Strong understanding of networking principles and IP-based security systems.
    • Experience with various security software and hardware tools.
    • Strong customer service and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to identify and meet project deadlines and deliverables
    • Experienced and qualified in at least one of the leading Access Control and Video Management manufacturer’s products (CCURE, Lenel, Genitec, Milestone, Avigilon etc.)

    Commissioning Engineer

    About the job

    The role represents an opportunity for global experience providing engineering support to our client’s enterprise-level electronic security systems and architecture.

    The engineer will be required to participate in an out-of-hours rota and work 3 Saturdays and 3 Sundays per quarter with any additional weekend work other than the above subject to additional remuneration.

    The successful candidate will also be required to work a rota of early and late shifts on alternative weeks, the early shift is required to be performed in our Cape Town office (hybrid), and the late shift can be performed remotely. This role forms part of our global engineering team so the successful candidate will be liaising with colleagues and clients in the rest of EMEA, APAC, and the US.

    What you will do

    • Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather information for system design and commissioning.

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop technical specifications for electronic security projects.

    • Conduct training sessions for clients and end-users on the operation and maintenance of security systems.

    What we are looking for

    • Adequate years experience in a security engineering role
    • Have knowledge and experience in the practical design and implementation of electronic and security systems.
    • Experienced and qualified in at least one of the leading Access Control and Video Management manufacturer’s products (CCure, Lenel, Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, etc.)
    • Experience in the delivery of data migration and database management would be beneficial
    • Will be familiar with, and have experience of, working on electronic security system upgrades and migrations
    • Ability to identify and meet project deadlines and deliverables
    • Experience with producing technical reports
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must

    Senior Consultant (Risk)

    About the Job 

    We are looking for an experienced security risk specialist at Senior Consultant level to join our expanding DESIGN team in Cape Town, this role is a crucial piece of our service offering enabling us to enhance our security service lines to a large range of clients. The candidate will be expected to support senior team members and the wider design team.
    The successful candidate will have a security and risk-related background and be able to establish the key functional requirements of all building users, incorporating strategic engineering requirements aligning to cost plans and outline specification, identifying risk throughout, and providing a succinct analysis of client requirements throughout the design programme.
    The successful candidate will assist the department lead in expanding the security risk element of the business, this role could be further enhanced with team responsibility or an element of business development in the future, so experience of either is beneficial.

    What you will do within the THREAT & RISK team

    • Assist the lead in developing and deploying an agreed plan/strategy to support the successful delivery of risk services across QCIC and its clients.
    • Prepare SABRE assessments and manage the process.
    • Prepare/review SNAs and manage the process.
    • Assist with TVRAs.
    • Assist senior team members with developing work and bringing in new business to the growing team, whilst enhancing and managing the current offerings.
    • Manage budgets for assigned projects.
    • Review process and procedures and aim for continual improvement.
    • Show aptitude in attaining good rapport with clients (engagement with clients, stakeholders, and professional design team is essential in gaining trust and understanding).
    • Provide professional and expert advice to clients and colleagues regarding all risk-related vulnerabilities.

    What you will do within the wider DESIGN team

    • Be able to support team members regarding Threat & Risk aspects.
    • Assist lead with budgets and financial planning for the wider team.
    • Peer review quality and technical correctness of DESIGN team projects.
    • Identify critical personnel, processes, assets, utilities across projects.
    • Demonstrate a good understanding and knowledge of the design of Physical Security Systems.

    What we are looking for

    • 5+ years experience in security risk management.
    • Proven track record in writing and presenting detailed findings and recommendations reports, providing added value, and thought leadership.
    • Experience in producing accurate fee proposals with the ability to review, adjust, and finalise financial and technical submissions/proposals within the scope.
    • Experience in managing and overseeing financials with ultimate budget responsibility.
    • Excellent writing and literacy skills.
    • Ability to act on own initiative but be a team player.

    Supplier Relationship Manager

    About the role

    We are looking for an experienced supplier relationship manager to be responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with key suppliers to ensure the delivery of high-quality service from QCIC. The role will require strategic planning, effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders to optimise supplier performance and drive mutual business success.

    What you will do

    • Develop and nurture strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and partnerships globally
    • Manage supplier performance reviews quarterly/monthly and ensure continued quality, costs, and delivery requirements
    • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work with suppliers to implement corrective actions
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, quality, and operations to align supplier relationships with organisational goals
    • Develop and implement strategic plans for key supplier accounts ensuring alignment with business objectives
