    Safety, Health & Environment Officer - Springs

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Contribute towards HSE departmental goals and improvements to achieve best practices and standards.
    • Overseeing and day to day management of safety and environmental systems and ensuring OHS & ISO 14001 compliance.
    • Responsible for contractor management ensuring compliance.
    • Conducting training, determine training needs, awareness and orientation overviews and induction for staff and contractors.
    • Conducting audits
    • Conducting hazard identifications and risk assessments
    • Detecting, measuring, monitoring, and reducing of non-conformances
    • Responsible for efficient handling of incident and accident investigations
    • Reporting on DFIR
    • Drive optimisation and improvement of HSE systems and processes which enhance safety, compliance and reduce risk.
    • Develop plans and review safety and risk performance against targets regularly to ensure continuous improvement.
    • Provide support and guidance to all staff, visitors, and contractors so as to minimise injuries and incidents and non-conformant behaviors.
    • Drive effective emergency response plans and access control/loss prevention systems.
    • Champions adherence to relevant HSE policies, procedures, work instructions and SOPs
    • Report status on risk, HSE status and progress to management.
    • Liasing with authorities and emergency services

    The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

    • Grade 12 PLUS National Diploma in Safety or any other relevant qualification 
    • SAMTRAC or equivalent
    • 3 – 5 years safety experience in the FMCG Industry
    • Sound knowledge of the OSH Act and all other Safety, Environmental and Security legislation.
    • Good communication skills
    • Ability to interact with people on all levels; co-ordinate and facilitate
    • Computer literacy is essential.
    • Ability to work independently and cope under pressure.
    • Ability to organise and lead.

    Dry Goods Manager

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Manage and optimize material operational activities.
    • Ensure that the site meets the Packaging plan on time & in full through effective material management processes.
    • Ensure FIFO principles are followed on each transaction. 
    • Ensure a stable 4-week production plan by ensuring material availability
    • Conduct stock takes as per agreed procedures including variance explanations.
    • Drive & maintain minimum raw materials levels.
    • Management of high-risk materials, expiry & Write-offs, this includes slow moving and obsolete stock.
    • Support PIPO process for the site ensuring timely data submission and on time conclusion of consumption or write offs. 
    • Ensure effective material governance and reporting.
    • Enforce adherence to warehouse capacity and storage principles.
    • Ensure competent and motivated personnel within the Materials department.
    • Ensure adherence & compliance to the Quality Management System and relevant policies, procedures, work instructions and Standard Operating Principles always.

    • Perform stand-in duties for PPML Manager and support end to end PML processes on site.

    The Successful candidate must preferably have the following experience/skills:

    • Relevant Tertiary Degree in Production, Operations Management or Supply Chain management. 
    • Proven track record of working within an FMCG materials management environment. 
    • Proven supplier management engagements 
    • Strong leadership capabilities and ability to manage people with diverse backgrounds.
    • Excellent negotiation and collaboration skills
    • High acumen of SAP
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Strong analytical abilities & attention to detail

    Materials Scheduler MRP - Stellenbosch

    Key performance areas include (but are not limited to):

    • Effective Supplier Relationship Management to ensure Purchase Orders are delivered On-Time-In-Full (OTIF)
    • Ensure accurate Vendor Records, material Master Data and Pricing
    • Create and or convert dependant Purchase Requisitions in SAP
    • Create Purchase Orders on SAP and effectively Communicate PO’s to Suppliers.

    The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

    • A relevant tertiary qualification /NQF 6 level, majoring in Supply Chain Management and or Purchasing
    • 1-3 Years working experience in a procurement & buying environment
    • Competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.
    • Working knowledge of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) on an ERP suite ( MRP on  SAP MM),
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    •  Previous experience in procurement & buying environment

    • Ensuring the establishment, placing, monitoring, and controlling of purchase requirements
    • Ensuring all purchase orders are actioned timeously (MRP).

    • Quick resolution of AP workflows/ Queries (invoices/credits)

    • 1-2 years’ experience in purchasing.
    • MRP experience
    • Able to supervise the correct implementation and utilization of administrative procedures.
    • Must be meticulous and consistently display good attention to detail.
    • Able to apply purchasing/ buying principles, procedures, and practices in own work area according to organizational requirements.
    • Able to interpret product related requirements and apply correct buying/ purchasing techniques to satisfy needs.
    • Able to initiate contact with parties relevant to work functions.
    • Can develop alternative strategies to handle changes/situations in own working area.
    • Is pro-active and anticipates problems before they arise.
    • Can follow through with own tasks even if peaks occur and deadlines are set.

    • Computer literate in MS Office, especially Excel on an intermediate level of competency.
    • Experience working on SAP purchasing modules will be of an advantage.
