    Quality Controller

    Purpose of the Job

    Manage and maintain the delivery quality, documentation, records, processes and procedures at the delivery points.

    Roles & Responsibility 

    • Make sure that the offloading crew is at the delivery point on time, in full as per the order and dressed in full uniform and compliant to the health and safety requirements
    • Communicate effectively and efficiently with the dispatching depot’s controllers on the whereabouts of the vehicle should it not be at the delivery point 30 minutes before the booking slot
    • Upon the arrival of the vehicle at the delivery point, make sure that the number of invoices matches the consignments loaded on the vehicle
    • Ensure adherence to the delivery point rules, regulations and procedures at all times
    • Communicate delays to the dispatching depot’s controllers for them to action in an attempt to resolve efficiently
    • Make sure stock is offloaded and packed with due care
    • Make sure to safeguard stock at all times. No stock may move before checked by yourself
    • Make sure to advise the scanner at the delivery point if all is in order or if there are any discrepancies, and do not let he/she tell you
    • Any discrepancies are to be recorded onto the Value Logistics discrepancy advise document detailed and in full
    • Photos must be taken of any discrepancy, and the root cause must be highlighted
    • This must also be communicated on the delivery point-specific communication platform along with photos send
    • As soon as the crew is done, this must be communicated to the group in order for the Assist Claims Supervisor and or Loss Control to conduct investigations
    • Returns must be safeguarded and communicated effectively till returned with the delivery vehicle or collected by another vehicle should the delivery vehicle not remain at the delivery point till completion of the delivery
    • All PODs/GRVs and discrepancy advice are to be retrieved on the same day of the delivery from the delivery point and handed in at the Value Logistics depots, debriefing department for processing
    • Management of corrective and preventive actions logged to ensure that they are being actioned and resolved admin office to monitor their hours and spend

    Minimum Requirements

    • Relevant qualification
    • 2 years of relevant experience within the supply chain or relevant field

    Panelbeater - Joostenbergvlakte

    Purpose of the Job

    • Repairing of accident-damaged vehicles and Equipment.

    Roles & Responsibility

    • Read the job card/quotation to establish what work needs to be done
    • Check the vehicle against the job card/quotation and establish what parts are to be ordered
    • Check for additional damage
    • Order the necessary parts
    • Carry out repairs whilst maintaining the required high standards
    • Follow up on the parts ordered
    • Check that the parts ordered are correct and not damaged
    • Ensure that all parts to be painted go with the vehicle to the paint shop
    • Strip and assemble the vehicle
    • Make sure that all panel alignment and fitment of parts are correct
    • Recheck the entire job, make sure the work is done and is of a high standard
    • Do a physical check that the vehicle is roadworthy
    • Check the assistant’s work
    • Advise, assist, teach and manage the assistant
    • Liaise with the Foreman, Estimator, Manager
    • Drive cost savings, and repair instead of ordering items where possible
    • Ensure that tools and equipment are looked after and kept in good working condition
    • Ensure that the productivity and efficiency is at an acceptable standard
    • Maintain professional conduct
    • Assist in relevant operations/operational functions as required
    • Ensure the dress code is in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures

    Roles & Responsibility

    • To make sure that flat rates on repairs are adhered to
    • To sign off job cards, tick off service schedules, book all spares used on job cards ie: engine oils

    Warehouse Controller

    Purpose of the Job

    • To control the work of staff within the Forman Warehouse area by following the Standard Operating Procedures on the operation(s) in which they work.

    Roles & Responsibility

    • Control the work and processes by staff members within the area(s) for which you are responsible by following the Standard Operating Procedure on the operation

    Site Controller

    Purpose of the Job

    • The purpose of this role is to manage the In-house operation successfully and ensure that operational expenses are maintained within budgeted parameters.

    Roles & Responsibility

    Operational

    • Ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures are known, understood, documented, in place, managed, maintained and enforced
    • Understand and know how to make use of the various systems in the business
    • Keep all filing and administration up to date
    • Monitor the processes of scanning, manifesting and authorising various In-house documents and dispatching of freight
    • Ensure the effective utilisation, optimisation of vehicles and correct loading of vehicles
    • Ensure vehicles are planned and ordered according to specific requirements and communicated to relevant parties
    • Ensure all freight is correctly processed as per statuses
    • Rectify any discrepancies from the receiving branch within the allocated time frame
    • Order stationery timeously and ensure adequate quantities are ordered

    • Ensure quality reports conform to the requirements of the customer
    • Evaluate and follow up on service levels with Manager and Customer Relations Manager

    • Open a handover register and ensure the driver signs for each POD

    • Manage leave, time and attendance of all staff. Report on all Absenteeism to Management.
    • Drive skills development of staff through training and other initiatives as regularly as required and keep signed records on file. Advise Manager of potential Staff.
    • Identify problem areas and initiate IR and HR processes as required
    • Ensure that all staff are well managed to improve productivity, reduce overtime and ensure that staff are motivated and productive

    Quality, Health and Safety and KPI’s

    • Ensure that customer KPIs are known, understood, measured, managed, maintained and reported on monthly
    • Ensure continuous improvement receives focus and is implemented
    • Ensure proactive actions are taken to improve the operation
    • Ensure standards of Health and Safety are maintained and that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are conformed to
    • Ensure that all monthly checks are carried out as required

    Purpose of the Job

    Operational

    • Acquire new business
    • Source Sales lead by analysing niche markets and routes. Through these leads, establish contacts and liaisons with companies within these markets/routes

    Senior Payroll Administrator

    Purpose of the Job

    To offer the Company’s Express services to potential clients and secure new business.

    Payroll Processing

    • Processing of all salary input and monthly wages
    • Ensure to query excessive overtime, Business km travel claims, or any deductions relating to renting a vehicle
    • Ensure all earnings and deductions are authorised by the BU Manager.
    • Ensure any BU Changes are correctly changed on VIP, and the reporting Managers are correctly captured on VIP
    • Update of Pay points on a monthly basis
    • Ensure Salary Increases are correctly processed on VIP
    • Ensure deadlines are met
    • Ensure CTC are correctly captured on VIP
    • Ensure Perks Tax is correctly captured on VIP as and when applicable
    • Ensure Salvage Loans are correctly processed

    Medical Aid

    • Ensure the billing for the Medical Aid – Discovery, Xelus and Sizwe are correctly captured on VIP
    • Ensure all new members and dependents are correctly captured on VIP
    • Ensure terminations are correctly processed on VIP, i.e. pro-rata EE and ER contributions
    • Medical Aid payments are due by the third of the following month

     Provident Fund

    • Ensure Provident Fund schedules are reconciled back to the VIP reports monthly
    • Ensure for the Provident fund reconciliation function
    • Ensure Provident Fund schedules reach the Provident Fund Administrators by the third of every month
    • Other Third-Party Payments: Ensure Garnishee Order, Union, Bargaining Council, SARS, UIF, Skills, Social Security and VET payments are submitted to the Finance department before the sixth of every month for payment
    • Ensure schedules are communicated to the Third Parties to ensure payment is distributed correctly

    Reports

    • Assist the Group Payroll Manager with the month-end reports: General Ledger export, Co-Reconciliation reports, Skills Provision, Leave Provision and Training Reports
    • Ensure that the Wages are correctly processed on a Thursday morning
    • Ensure leave applications are correctly processed on VIP and the NBCRFLI Council
    • Ensure unpaid leave is correctly processed
    • Ensure pay slips are uploaded to ESS a day before payday
    • Printing pay slips for employees with no access to ESS and distribution

    Purpose of the Job

    Operational

    • Evaluate/check the vehicle for general defects before doing any repairs
    • Write a technical report on the scope of repairs required to repair vehicle
    • List spare parts needed to repair vehicle
