    Project Manager - Bellville

    Job Description

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manage and coordinate all ANOVA Health Institute- programme activities and implementation management at assigned district/sub- district level/nodes.
    • Develop and maintain key relationships (liaison) with relevant government department and staff, and other stakeholders with a view of joint problem solving and addressing challenges.
    • Collaborate with DOH facilities to implement the COPC policy in all nodes.
    • Support the development & implementation of the project in healthcare facilities, communities, schools, DOH and ANOVA workplan.
    • Produce a list of strategic partners and stakeholders that are directly linked with programme goals and objectives, constantly work with the various stakeholders to strengthen linkage, and improve outcomes.
    • Report project findings to internal and external stakeholders in aid of programme advocacy.

    • 5 years’ experience proven track record in leading and managing NGOs/NPOs teams and development programs.
    • 5 years’ experience as a manager or team supervisor delivering primary healthcare services including HIV/TB/S2TI, home based care, etc.
    • In-depth understanding of programme issues and policy work at local and district level.
    • Demonstrated ability in writing and presenting programs.
    • In-depth knowledge of the Western Cape Department of Health community programme, programme rules and regulations and reporting requirements.
    • Experience with budget development and implementation of quality control.

    Counsellor Linkage Officer - Vanderbijlpark

    Job Description

    Key duties and responsibilities

    • Provide HTS services, PreP screening, STI and TB including HIV tests for Transgender Clients.
    • Provide support and advice to TG clients who are interested in transitioning.
    • Be available to assist all Transgender HIV patients, PreP clients in the facility and from the community outreach sites, this includes all clients positive for TB and STI screening assessments.
    • Ensure that all clients tested HIV positive and PreP clients are linked into care and keep a record of how many are initiated on ART.
    • Providing HIV Testing Services (HTS), PreP screening to clients in line with DoH policies and guidelines and in line with District 90-90-90 DIP and Sub-district IP 90-90-90 plans.

    Enrolled Nurse: Mobile Unit - Polokwane

    We are looking for an Enrolled Nurse for the mobile unit to do health screening of all clients in the mobile unit and HIV screening for clients at the farms to breach the gap between facilities and farms, through linkage of all clients and transfer of those that are far from facilities.

     Key duties and responsibilities

    • Support the HTS team by mobilising all clients screened for other illnesses to also test for HIV
    • Recording and capturing of all activities done in the mobile unit including transfer ins and outs to facilities
    • Support the community outreach teams during campaigns in the farms
    • Record clients seen in the mobile unit and ensure follow up visitation schedule
    • Give health education on all suspected clients referred by counsellor and further refer them to the professional nurse
    • Attend internal meetings, workshops and training

    We are looking for a skilled Data Capturer at the Health4Men (MSM Project) at Capricorn to provide support in carrying out data-related admin work, capture patient’s files, generate defaulter reports and compile monthly statistics.

    Data Capturing

    • Capture data (on a daily basis) of information acquired from all registers.
    • Ensure that the information provided is credible and that there are no duplications.
    • Ensure confidentially of patient files and information.
    • Capture data completely, accurately and as prescribed.
    • Provide updates and training on data capturing systems.  
    • Accurately enter M&E data in the provided systems such Tier.net or any systems provided either by Anova or stakeholder.
    • Participate in on-going data management training.
    • Maintain confidentiality of data handled.

    Data Quality Assurance

    • Assist the M & E Officer with quality management procedures.
    • Assist in data quality assurance activities.
    • Report problems relating to data collection to line manager as and when they occur.

    Data storing and Backup

    Professional Nurse - Johannesburg

    Job Description

    Anova’s Jab Smart project was set up in late-2017 to respond to HIV among people who use drugs (PWUD) in Johannesburg Metro. PWUD are at particular risk of HIV and suffer high levels of stigma and prejudice, often being denied access to essential health services. Jab Smart is a peer-led project that provides a range of harm reduction services to PWUD. The project is implemented together with the COJ Health District, and it is supported by Global Fund through its partner NACOSA.

    We are looking for a Professional Nurse to be responsible for comprehensive, integrated, cascade of care, inclusive of diagnosing, treating, monitoring and evaluating communicable and infectious diseases. The Professional Nurse will consult and provide preventative, curative, rehabilitative treatment/health care to People Who Use Drugs (PWUD) on various clinical aspects to our supported outreach facilities.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Treatment, Care Mentorship and Provision

    • Collaborate with OST doctor and Clinical Nurse Mentor to provide OST/ hepatitis. treatment and care mentorship to other clinicians.
    • Provide OST/ STI and Hepatitis treatment to PWUDs at CoJ and surrounding areas.
    • Manage treatment outcomes amongst PWUDs.
    • Provide support to CoJ OST sites.

     OST Clinic Management

    • Manage the CoJ OST clinic.
    • Dispense and account for methadone and other medication.
    • Account for clinical supplies and equipment.
    • Initiate PWUDs on ART and keep records thereof.

     Project Support

    • Support Professional Nurses to achieve set HTS targets.
    • Support psychosocial workers and advocacy officer in achieving set targets.
    • Account and submit monthly reviews of HTS and ART registers, linkage registers inventory of project items.
    • Account for and submit monthly narratives on OST sites as well as other activities done.
