Accountant (Hybrid)

We are currently recruiting for an Accountant for a Real estate investment company. The company is based in Johannesburg North, and the successful candidate must come with 3+ years’ experience as an Accountant.

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant BCom degree in Accounting.
• Experience working with Pastel and Sage.
• Essential: Full knowledge of SARS/VAT/PAYE submissions.

Main responsibilities include:

• Monthly VAT reconciliations and submission on SARS e-filing
• Cash flow prediction.
• Recalculating Treasury payments to be made and investigating differences
• Other adhoc projects and duties that may be allocated by the Manager.
• Maintaining the Treasury payment schedule on behalf of the finance team.
• Recalculation of commission claims.
• Preparation of bank reconciliations on a weekly basis.
• Weekly creditor payments and cash management.

Audit Senior / Assistant Manager (SAICA)

We are currently recruiting for an Audit Assistant Manager for a company in the financial consulting industry. The successful candidate will be placed either at their offices in Moorreesburg/Malmesbury, and the successful candidate must be registered with SAICA.

Minimum Requirements:

• Required: BCom Accounting or BCom Hons in Accounting.
• Required: Completed SAICA Articles / Still in the Process of completing SAICA Articles.
• Knowledge of IFRS for SME’s, Companies ACT, International Standards of Auditing legislations.
• Working knowledge of CaseWare and MS Office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Keeping up to date with the latest technical standards and legislation.
• Reporting to the directors.
• Liaising with client and directors.
• Administration of audits and related engagements.
• Preparation and monitoring of year planning.
• Preparation, implementation and review of audit and other engagement files.
• Compiling of financial statements, independent reviews and agreed upon procedures.
• Coaching/training of staff members.
• Day-to-day management of the audit team and their developments.
• Quotation preparations .
• Meeting deadlines.
• Preparing tax computations and management reports.
• Prepare and monitor audit budgets.
