    HR Business Partner

    Job Related Requirements

    • A strong proven working knowledge of full IR function and relevant Labour Legislation (BCEA, LRA & EE Act)
    • Min 3-5 years actively involved in HR admin related disciplines
    • 5 years exposure to business processes
    • Knowledge and understanding of recruitment practices
    • Excellent Communication skills (verbal and non-verbal)
    • MUST be pedantic about attention to detail and data accuracy
    • Must be able to self manage (includes effectively communicating with stakeholders)
    • Successful candidate must be able to plan, prioritise and organize effectively
    • Ability to use initiative on projects
    • Strong problem solving ability
    • Ability to work under pressure is essential
    • Sound knowledge and understanding of Change Management (what it is and the role of HR in managing change in an organization)
    • Good understanding of the Road Freight National Barganing Council and the Main Agreement

    Main Purpose of the Role 

    • To partner business and provide aligned and compliant Human Resources and Industrial Relations support, guidance and services to all employees, managers and support departments to increase organisational effectiveness. Partnering with business leaders and management, driving organizational priorities and translating this into action on the ground. To align local activities to Global intiatives.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • To implement the Group HR strategy through effective communication and participation at regional operational meetings
    • To implement and maintain projects to ensure expected service delivery to the HR team,  business, Centre’s of Excellence and broader HR business.
    • To provide business with the required information and reports timeously to enable them to manage the business unit effectively.
    • To ensure sound employee relations by guiding business & managers in the use of best HR and IR practises.
    • To ensure and drive awareness and usage of the HRIS and available  Reports.
    • To proactively identify existing and potential problem areas and trends and guide and advise management to address them.
    • To ensure that all legislative requirements and policies are implemented and adhered to within the business unit.
    • To serve on/run committees/meetings within HR and Business structures.
    • Ensure effective working relationships with external HR and support pillars.
    • Control HR costs in accordance with budget to ensure effective utilization of funds.
    • Manage and participate in daily HR activities and administration as per the required standards.
    • Managing and executing on HR / Business related projects.
    • To ensure data accuracy on the HRIS by performing monthly audits on HR reports and actioning corrections as required.
    • Onboarding and offboarding of employees.

    Key Account Manager, Air & Sea - Kempton Park,

    Main Purpose

    • Managing multiple clients according to the stages in a client life cycle while ensuring the Executive Sponsor relationship is maintained with your client sponsor and the client. Creating and maintaining the client information pack. Manage the opening of accounts process – and continuous updating of client information.  Be accountable for the contract negotiations process, understanding and mitigating the risk identified. Presenting to and implementing new DSV products, processes and strategies with client (s)

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Management of client queries
    • Quality checking estimates and ensuring they are submitted on time
    • Compile client specific business reports and quality checking data integrity
    • Identify Opportunities for growth within the client’s business
    • Record under threat and lost accounts on CRM system
    • Manage service level agreements through reporting and reviews including identifying exceptions and corrective actions
    • Facilitate rate negotiations and increases
    • Arrange and control customer action plan processes for clients
    • Identify and report on quantified value for clients
    • Take meeting minutes and follow through to close out
    • Manage client debtors to keep within the agreed payment terms and resolve queries in days sales outstanding
    • Ensure standard operating procedures are signed off by the clients, documented and maintained
    • Ensure DSV complies with client health, safety and environment requirements
    • Compile monthly revenue reports for clients and portfolio
    • Co-ordinate available client logistics training
       
    • Must be target driven.
    • Must have ability to work unsupervised.
    • Must be able to interact with clients at all levels being operations, tactical and strategic

    Job related requirements

    • Valid driver’s license with own reliable vehicle
    • Computer literacy
    • Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans, both written and verbal
    • Must have 4 years freight forwarding experience, in both air, ocean and road operations, must have multiple vertical experience, i.e.  Pharma, general and retail – candidates who have no freight forwarding experience will not be considered
    • Must have a high standard of business writing skills
    • Must have financial experience e.g. Rates and Debtors
    • Must have rate increase experience

    Main Purpose of the Role

    • You will be required to work on selected client premises, to run the client specific shipping processes identified, resolve operational issues, handle all account queries. Keeping all stakeholders up to date with live information. Operate well within the Pharma environment

    Job Related Requirements

    • Matric
    • Minimum of 3 years in Freight forwarding both Air & Sea (Import/Export) 
    • Road Freight experience - an added advantage
    • Pharma knowledge is essential
    • Operational Experience of no less than three years
    • Commercial or customer service experience of no less than two years
    • Valid and endorsed code 08 license, own transport
    • Strong interpersonal and motivational skills
    • Ability to work with all levels within business
    • Excellent administration and communication skills

    Main Purpose of The Role

    • Monitor and execution of shipments from receipt of notification of the shipment up and until file closure which entails registering, customs clearance, invoicing, delivery and turn in. Keeping the client informed at all times through effective and proactive communication in terms of updating them with regards to their shipments and any other related queries.
